Microsoft recruiters focus on Mexican universities

Biz Journals writes: "Last January, Marco Caballero Gutierrez and 60 other college students played Xbox, sipped sodas, and socialized with each other and recruiters in a conference room at Microsoft. When they called his name, Gutierrez nervously departed the room for interviews, spending at least an hour each in four separate sessions.

"It was really excruciating," Gutierrez said.

Gutierrez's first encounter could stand in for any recruiting day of Microsoft. But in this case, Gutierrez and all 60 students spoke Spanish and had traveled to company headquarters in Redmond, Wash., from Mexico."
