Kadokawa Games launched a new trailer for their upcoming RPG The Lost Child, coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on August 24 in Japan.
There have been jokes that the Nintendo Switch is the successor to the PlayStation Vita. Plenty of visual novels are making their way to the console, and it also has become a haven for RPGs. In fact, it’s even starting to find itself the home for a certain specific sort of RPG, the first-person, party-based dungeon-crawler. There were loads of them on Sony’s handheld and now Nintendo’s system is starting to build up its own library.

Odd that Dragon Quest 11 didn’t make the cut. Did the author not play it? It’s quite good.
That is the most anemic list one could possibly conjure. Many of those suck. DQXI and Octopath are well above. Not to mention Torna the Golden Country.
Dragon Quest 11 was easily the best RPG this year, and it's not even on the list.

I was expecting a LOT more from a game that takes place in the same universe as El Shaddai. There are already a lot of games like this.
