This game already broke records. What they are doing is milking it and shaping it up to be better than it really was.

FinalFantasyFanatic2525d ago

This, they game did well enough, although I don't think it quite deserved all the accolades it got, the press never really gave what I would consider an objective review. After playing it, I know I defiantly don't want to spend my money on the DLC.

TricksterArrow2525d ago

Yeah. I don't really understand the disagrees. The game sold incredibly well. Too bad it's "alrighty" at most. :T I hope all the DLCs add up to something special in the end, though I'm not particularly pumped... Unless the DLCs deal with Luna, Ardyn or the World of Ruin. Here's hoping?

_-EDMIX-_2525d ago

I know that would be terrible for them to continue to support it and add content, I'd argue that was one of the worst things that happened to The Witcher 3 was getting more of that content /s

dkp232525d ago

This is trash. Worst ff ive played.

KimikoGaming2525d ago

Not the worst, but definitely not the best

pietro12122525d ago

Sure,
If we pretend that FF5 and the FF XIII doesn't exist. FF15 wasn't that bad, but it did have some notable flaws.

FinalFantasyFanatic2525d ago

TBH, I like FF XIII more than I like XV, XV's pretty forgettable (both games are heavily flawed). That and XIII improved as each sequel came out, personally I would rather them focus on 16 instead of fixing 15's flaws.

Nintendo4Lifex2525d ago

I will never buy another ff due to this game. Worse ff ever isn't even ff anymore.

gamer78042525d ago

Sorry. Just work on 16 and make it a good game and ill buy it this time. I don't much care for dude bro road trips in Audis.

_-EDMIX-_2525d ago

How do you know that's not already being done?

gamer78042524d ago

hopefully it is, but i'd rather all resources just be put toward that and the ff7 remake.

_-EDMIX-_2524d ago

@gamer- FFVII remake is already being worked on by another team.

This is why it helps to know how games are made bud.

The people that make DLC are not the whole team, ie the FFXV team could have been working on FFXVI since before FFXV release.

Consider the people that do voice overs, pre-production, writers, artist etc are already done with their parts maybe a year before FFXV is done, thus likely are working on FFXVI.

Mind you, we don't even know if that team is even making FFXVI, for all we know another team has been making FFXVI since before FFXV release.

Its why BF1 was able to be made while Battlefront 1 still got DLC.

Don't think of it like 1 team and don't think of it like DLC needs a WHOLE team.

Some DLC teams are literally made up of 20 people of like a 200 staff team lol

Its really not as much as you might think.

No worries

Tankbusta402525d ago

I bought it day one, beat it and sold it. Loved the game, but unless they package it together with the dlc for 29.99 or less I won't bother again.

Tankbusta402525d ago

Gotta love the downvotes anyone gets for saying they enjoyed FFXV, hardcore purists are like American Democrats, whine whine whine never let anything go!

Glad that I absolutely can't stand subscription services.

Petebloodyonion8d ago (Edited 8d ago )

I don't recall Sony forcing you to subscribe like nobody forced you to go to Blockbuster to rent games instead of buying them.

SonyStyled8d ago

Pay-per-view was almost cheaper than the cost of gas and rental fee from Blockbuster. Blockbuster doesn’t exist today. Are you being sarcastic?

Final Fantasy XV Review – A Royal Road Trip

Gary Green said: With my fondness for (most) Final Fantasy games and my side goal of finishing off games in my collection with loose ends, a return to Final Fantasy XV seemed inevitable. It also serves as my third Final Fantasy platinum trophy after VII and VIII, a reasonable substitute since Final Fantasy IX is nigh on impossible to master.

Final Fantasy 15 director reveals why he left Square Enix, and announces he's working on 2 new JRPGs

Final Fantasy 15's director has revealed why he left Square Enix back in 2018.

Hajime Tabata famously resigned from Square Enix two years after Final Fantasy 15 shipped in 2016. In a special livestream at the time, Tabata announced his decision to resign from the company, cancelling three of four new story-focused DLC episodes for Final Fantasy 15 in the process.

FF15 is like FF13 its subjective people either like it or hate it.

raWfodog140d ago

I liked it. I haven’t played the royale edition yet but I’ll get around to it one day.

gold_drake140d ago

no no, 15 wasnt trash.

15 had a tremendous difficult development.

FinalFantasyFanatic138d ago

I really believe 13 was better put together and more complete than 15 ever was.

EternalTitan139d ago

Found the pathetic troll.
How is your jobless life going?
Dot worry, you will never get a job or a girlfriend haha!

Hofstaderman140d ago

Man inherited a train wreck and was expected to release this game in under two years after it spent a better part of a decade in development hell. At one point there was even plans to make FFXIII Versus a musical. He did what he could.

TheColbertinator140d ago

I didn't care much for XV and I always wanted the original vision of Versus XIII but I think the dev team did what they could to salvage the project

Inverno139d ago

And yet people still blame him for the game turning out the way it did, rather than SE for the horrible mismanagement of 13 and Namura for being overly ambitious.

Dwarrior140d ago

Whatever the behind-the-scenes went on over the many years, at the end of the day it was a radical change in direction that I could not go along with. Also why I never bought 16.

gold_drake140d ago

this is also why Sakaguchi (spelling) left.
