When Good IPs go Bad

"It seems that many of the criticisms of Hollywood cinema have been transferred to the wonderful world of gaming as well. Let's face it, we're gaming in an era of sequels and remakes, rampant with a majority of game publishers and developers who don't seem to want to take the risk of stepping outside of existing Intellectual Property. Sure, every now and then we get thrown a Psychonauts here or a LittleBigPlanet there, but these types of titles are unfortunately few and far between.
