Sega reveals its new corporate identity based on amazing and surprising its customers.
Please be a dreamcast 2 with Sonic adventure 3 as launch title god damn please.
Lol. I seriously doubt that possibility is even close to realistic.
That would be surprising customers.
Alot of is love that idea but I think we all know it will never happen there is not room for 4 console's unfortunately.
LOL, The guy in the video looks like a Yakuza.
This is good news. Go sega
Good. I've always supported Sega. I wish them the best.
Bring back Segata, I know they killed him off but show a graveyard and a tomb and then a fist punching through the ground before it cuts to black and displays SEGA quickly.
Maybe now might be a good time. Home console market can support 3 consoles. Xbox one. PS4. And a new one from sega! Nintendo is a write off they unofficially bowed out of home consoles with the switch. Now they are alone in the "hybrid" market.
Sega will never return to making consoles, they are done. People are living in a dream world if they think Sega can return to making consoles. Sega CD, Sega 32X, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, all great, but none of them sold well enough, they finished Sega when it came to making consoles. I don't think some people realise what position Sega is in financially. They are nothing compared to Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo anymore. EA has more money than Sega now and you won't see EA making consoles any time soon. If EA can't afford to make consoles, what makes people think Sega can comeback and make a console? Sega just doesn't have the money anymore. If they were to make one now, their whole company would be finished. We should just be thankful that they are still around at all. Their failure with selling consoles nearly finished them.
I completely agree with you. It's just fun to think about.
Switch is still in the home console market dude. Hybrid doesn't mean what you think it means. Sega is doing just fine making games, either way. Seems like they have some focus they sorely lacked for some time. Another entry in the hardware biz would just confuse their direction.
I hope they know what they are doing I just watch the video
I'm just glade they are still around SEGA!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude.... it's SEEGAAAAAA!!!!
Yea but maybe hes just happy and wanted to scream SEGA!!!!!! from the top his lungs.
This is great news to read. It seems that Sega has finally decided to rise from the ashes and firmly establish itself at the greatest third party brand on the market. No one has the back catalog of blockbuster hits that Sega does. According to their investors meeting, Sega has a launched a plan to go into 2020 with guns blazing. Hopefully what this means is that we will see dormant franchises brought back such as Virtua Fighter, Fighter's Megamix, Burning Rangers, Shinobi, Streets of Rage, Panzer Dragoon and several others. The best case scenario for Sega would be to make an impact once again in the industry that will propel them to make another console. If they were to do that, Dark Sniper would be all in. $niper
The acquisition of Atlus was the best decision they've made in years. Can't wait to see what the company that got me into gaming has in store for the near future.
I'm wondering if they have deals with Microsoft. Microsoft needs exclusives deals. Sega and Microsoft alway had good relationships. Microsoft helped with dreamcast. And sega helped with the original Xbox. Microsoft also wants to get in with the Japanese market. And Phil was recently in Japan talking to devs. Sega has some IPs that would resonate with Japanese market. Also recent leak that Microsoft had a bifnthird party exclusive. Followed by the sega news. Interesting speculation...
1:40 Super Monkey Ball???
They bought Xbox from MS!
Sega you are dead to me till you bring Phantasy Star to the west...
GO SEGA ! WE ARE WAITING FOR YOU!!
Personally I would like to see them develop new IP's and go back to their experimental days. They found some success with games like Jet Set Radio and Rez....they were cool, different, exciting and probably not THAT expensive to make. Maybe focus on high quality $39 games? The AAA market is insanely competitive/risky. I really don't think they can do much with the Sonic formula without alienating long time fans. But I would kill for a new Virtua Fighter!
I wonder if we will see anything at E3? I'm still just hoping for a Shenmue 1 and 2 HD release.
