TeamXbox: LEGO Batman: The Videogame Review

TeamXbox writes: "Developer Traveller's Tales has a pretty good thing going on. With this week's release of LEGO Batman: The Videogame, it has expanded its offering of LEGO-based game subjects to three: "Star Wars" (with multiple titles), "Indiana Jones" and now the DC Comics' superhero.

Indeed, if you've played any of the previous titles, you'll know what you're in store for here (and there's no doubt that Traveller's Tales has a solid formula that it follows): It takes many of the familiar characters and action from the subject, creates funny-looking (but easily recognizable) LEGO models out of them, then alternates gameplay action using those characters with cutscenes that help frame the story, often with humorous asides and all with no discernible dialogue (relying on expressive mumbles, which makes it accessible to gamers of all ages-and surely eliminates the cost of localization from the development budget)."
