The Resident Evil remasters did quite well for Capcom, selling almost three million copies on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
RE4 will be ported to nearly everything
As it should
Only time it should be ported again is if they get that guy who's done the RE4 HD project and work with him.
I'm looking to get a RE4 remaster for the PS4 myself!
Thats good to hear.
Hoping some Onimusha remaster love comes soon!!!
Well clearly there is a demand for these remasters so can you blame them?
Consider them porting is the reason you can still get there new games.
They ported last gen too, ie all of the old RE's got ported to PS3 over PSN, literally RE1-4 are on PSN, even Zero, Remaster of 2002, Code Veronica etc.
Honestly...nothing is wrong if they need the money to make stuff like RE5,6,7, Revelations 1, Revelations 2 etc.
So I'm not against them making ports, if that is what it takes to get RE8, Revelations 3, RE2 remake so be it.
Who am I to say don't make money to make us newer games? lol
It doesn't even help you or Capcom for them to not make this money.
I was fine with it during the PS2 gen, PS3 gen, I'm fine with it now.
If this helps them, then so be it.
Clearly not enough of that money went into RE5 or 6, or even Street Fighter V. If they're in a position where they have to dip in the well over and over just to make a new game, that's not my fault, but so be it. My problem is it's always the same well. How many more times can they re-release Resident Evil? Where is Onimusha? Darkstalkers? Okami? People been asking for these for years. I know this because Yoshi Ono actually addresses it. But nope, they just release their bread and butter for the umpteenth time because people will buy it for the umpteenth time.
"Clearly not enough of that money went into RE5 or 6, or even Street Fighter V"
You don't really know what your talking about sooooo yea.
Money doesn't mean a game will be good, my post literally states "them porting is the reason you can still get there new games" nothing about them being good, bad etc.
" If they're in a position where they have to dip in the well over and over just to make a new game, that's not my fault,"
Have to? LMFAO! Making money is the goal bud, they would port to make money regardless of their situation. So if they were doing better, they would want to make less money? What?
Who said it as your fault? What exactly are you talking about?
"How many more times can they re-release Resident Evil?"
For how ever long a demand exist to play them during a new generation. I mean...its showing they sold almost 3 million to retail, that is a LOT of money that is pure profit.
"Where is Onimusha?" Good question. Where is your relevance? Your all over the place Kwiet lol
"they just release their bread and butter for the umpteenth time because people will buy it for the umpteenth time"
I mean.....is that suppose to be bad or ? Don't do that? Make less money? How does that help Capcom? I mean, how does that even help you and me who want a Onimusha remaster or even remake? Those RE games have always sold better then Onimusha. It happens.
What you personally like in terms of Okami or Onimusha is irrelevant.
If you will personally buy it is irrelevant.
Their position their in is irrelevant, I'd argue that even that means they should be doing this MORE then before lol
I mean...Capcom did this during the PS2 gen remember?
Gamecube got RE2, RE3, RE Code Veronica, PS2 got Code Veronica etc.
PS3 with PSN got basically all the older RE titles.
This isn't really new for this company. If this is how they fund their games, who are we to say they should do otherwise? Them making less money doesn't get your or me Onimusha faster, it actually means just the opposite. Your adding how you personally feel, to a concept that is irrelevant to feelings or emotions.
Just business bud.
No shit money doesn't mean a game will be good. I was obviously being sarcastic. Why is every one of your responses tldr?Just say what you have to say and move on. If you couldn't understand anything I said, that too is not my fault. There was nothing at all that should have lead you to tell me I don't know what I'm talking about. I have an opinion. You have yours. I'm not here to prove anything to you, so chill out on all these escapades with your bulletpoints trying to known every sentence, when it's a simple opinion.
Why would you be sarcastic? Ok bud, no one's going to know this over the internet.
Also why are you so emotional over this?
Why are you trying to rationalize a business decision that's technically irrelevant to your emotions?
Smh. Too emotional. No one cares what your personal problem is over this bud, You Don't Own Capcom it doesn't even sound like you barely even understand the most simplest concepts of business.
You wanted to know how many more times they would have released Resident Evil? And the most simplest business answer to ever give you as as much times as the audience demands.
If you don't understand this concept of course it's actually going to take me much longer to properly explain it to you
I leave no stone unturned.
I'm still having a hard time understanding why you're taking this so personally and emotionally...
I mean you've yet to even explain how it would somehow benefit you for it to not exist. 😂😂😂
I mean you spent more time spewing profanity and crying then actually spent even explaining why would help you to not happen.
Your post is irrelevant and way too personal. Like PMS, like your feelings are hurt like your emotional like you've had a bad day emotional. Lol
So are you even going to actually explain how it possibly going to benefit you for this to not exist or more backpedaling and personal attacks?
You asked why and I gave a logical reason...
I guess then Capcom will keep re-realsing these games. Get ready for the 4K remastered that won't look any different...
31.5% is a pretty big number of overall sales.
If a game sold 3 million that would make roughly 1 million of it from digital. That's pretty big.
