Monster Hunter 3 - Transition from PS3, Monsters Reworked & More

The director and producer of Capcom's upcoming Monster Hunter 3 title for Nintendo Wii spoke about many things about the game like Online vs. Offline play and much more.

The story is too old to be commented.

Capcom are hypocrites, they said they aren't going to be doing any exclusives anymore, yet this is Wii-exclusive :(. Hopefully they make the game multi-plat (atleast so that it is released on PS3), although i can understand why they would release on the Wii exclusively.

Panthers3246d ago

if they release it on PS3, it would probably be a port and look like a Wii game. I would hope not though.

jofra013246d ago

gaffyh you should realise Capcom said that statement after the announcement of Monster Hunter 3 for Wii as an exclusive title.

Both the xbox360 and PS3 get two exclusive titles RE5 and SFIV.

Anyways I couldn't see the game go multiplatform as the reason for it not on PS3 anymore is due to the finacial cost it will make for Capcom.

Chubear3246d ago

Firstly, SFIV and RE5 aren't exclusive games and secondly, you can't be that gulible to believe Capcom didn't put MH3 on the PS3 for "Financial" reasons do you?

Capcom? a well known, deep rooted, multi-million dollar gaming software company has "financial" issues with just this one game? Really? Soooo, what, they couldn't do a Downloadable MH3 title on PSN for $29.99 or $39.99?

Don't eat up PR slop willingly. This was just Capcom doing what they've been doing for many generations which is to find ways to stick it to Sony's Playstation brand any way they can find.

They saw Nintendo were interested in using this to continue to beat out the PS3 in Japan as heavily as possible and were more than willing to stick it to Sony on this one. Everything Capcom says regarding anything PS is always contradictive and they've been looking for Sony's down fall for over 2 generations now.

The whole "financial reasons" stuff is pure BS. This is Monster Hunter not KZII, MGS4 or the infamous $100 million GTA. Puting MH3 on the PS3 would not be a back breaker for them by any logical means.

WOW really they where going to use the monster hunter 1 engine on the PS3 lol. Pretty much what every one is doing yet then adding normal maps and stuff.

Man the Capcom is wanting the PS3 to die is pretty crazy don't you think? They put the gaming on the heavily crushed PSP instead of the DS. That was actually a smart move since pokemon was on the DS. Seriously HD games cost lots of money and putting monster hunter on the PSN for the PS3 at such a low price is silly when they can charge full price for what is one great looking game on the Wii.

SONY F'd up man if they could have made a market that was viable for both high end HD games and normal great looking games then more people would be making PS3 games. Making HD graphics is a lot of money and there is a reason why millions are spent on the same level and higher for movies.

"you can't be that gulible to believe Capcom didn't put MH3 on the PS3 for "Financial" reasons do you?"

If "Financial reasons" could mean "for the reason of making more money", then, uh, yes.

"This was just Capcom doing what they've been doing for many generations which is to find ways to stick it to Sony's Playstation brand any way they can find."

Is that why Capcom initially released most of the Resident Evil series, most of the Devil May Cry series, two Breath of Fire games, Okami, and God Hand for Sony systems? Because they're trying to stick it to Sony?

"Everything Capcom says regarding anything PS is always contradictive and they've been looking for Sony's down fall for over 2 generations now."

Everything Capcom says about all companies is contradictive in terms of what games go where (Hint: the games go where the money is).

Like when they said they'd release five games exclusive to the Gamecube. One of which was cancelled, one of which was nailed by critics and consumers alike, and three of which made their way to the PS2.

Wait a sec, so does that mean that Capcom's secretly looking for Nintendo's downfall, too?

we are going to wait a little longer for the next gen Monster Hunter!

kesvalk3246d ago

sorry to burst your bubble, but the Wii is part of this genenation of consoles, if you said HD then you would be correct, but the Wii is as "next-gen" as the PS3 and Xbox360

graphics aren't everything buddy...

Final_Rpg3246d ago

Unfortunately wii lacks in all of its capabilities next to PS3 and 360 minus motion control...

N4g_null3246d ago

@Final_Rpg that's fine it plays mega man just fine and it actually is expanding the market. No need for lame gamer social networks and such or lame awards just for playing. No tacked on price for a dead on arrival over price optical disk drive. The funny thing is it was the only system that was not rushed and look how it turned out great.

We've had HD graphics for a while here on earth and that did not help PC games at all. Only certain people make money off of that platform.

It seems the HD console are lacking gamers and the content to attract real gamers.

Well I don't expect you to agree but hey see you next gen if you even get an upgrade from what I'm hearing you won't.

badz1493245d ago

I'll make it straight...I meant HD monster hunter
