IGN: Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure Review

Rhapsody might be a good choice for the budding RPG player, but it's too easy and too old fashioned for most. Random battles are an archaic mechanic that should be abolished from games forever. Of course, this is a port of an older game so the random battles might be overlooked by fans of the original or old school RPG fans in general. It's a pretty DS game but the formula is stale. IGN thinks the developers missed a good opportunity by not injecting music into the gameplay. A boy-obsessed teenager singing cheesy love songs doesn't quite make for a Musical Adventure in IGN's book. Still, Rhapsody's humor and personality do have their charms.
