The launch of a new Nintendo console has revitalized consumer spending for the gaming industry.
Yes. Zelda couldn’t outsell the multiplatform Wildlands that launches on consoles with a massive owner base, but it still did extraordinary.
Oh wait. It is not only U.K where GR dominates.
Notice all the asterisks in that list?
*No digital sales
Zelda did it very well for a game released to one only console.
After all, good Zelda sales are related with launch of a new console and it was the only significant title for Switch.
And also, digital sales for Zelda ( and for Horizon too ) aren't included, but for Ghost Recon and Mass Effect are.
Zelda breath of the wild also released on the Wii U
It was a big month for zelda, horizon, ghost recon and mass effect. All of them sold close to or over 1m copies.
Who is still buying GTA? The attach rate must be crazy across the board.
if GTA5 released on switch that would be another few million adding to its monstrous sakes train. Several years after it still charts, unbelievable.
Still sells like crazy on PC...
March was a great month for gamers, that's for sure.
Anyone who buys Wildlands is supporting a game that should be released in 2002
Let me help others understand the article...
"NPD tracks software sales physically and digitally, but it doesn’t have the full digital picture. It only has certain publishers on certain platforms. Notable omissions include Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo first-party sales through their own stores."

PC software: $29 million (down 25 percent from $39 million)
Interesting. I guess Valve and Blizzard are closing in April because neither would be in business if they only made that each.
Starting this month Microsoft exclusive digital sales will be tracked by NPD. Hopefully Sony follow.
Zelda did amazing, i thought Horizon would of beat it out since Sony have close to 60 million consoles sold to customers, so i got to give Zelda its props, it sold well
3 PS4 exclusives/console exclusives in the top 10. And that doesn't even include digital sales for the PS4 exclusives
