Rare shows off more gameplay of its upcoming online game Sea of Thieves.
looks very good so far
Played the last beta and I enjoyed it a lot. Everyone in my team had headsets so it was even more fun.
I was just notified today that I have been added to the Alpha. I plan on downloading the game tomorrow and playing this weekend for sure. Is there a tutorial for the Alpha or do they just throw you into the deep end right away and hope you know how to swim?
Having a crew and having to be in contact and coordinate with them is awesome. I hope it releases soon because I enjoy co op games. The ship battles look great but the combat from what I have seen are lacking. But I'll wait to judge until the game is out.
@Imgumbydammit Lol..No tutorial buddy, but it's very easy to get a hang of the game's control mechanics. The only issue I had was trying to understand the maps but luckily enough there was a guy on my team who was kind enough to explain it to me .It was an amazing experience. I will be playing again this weekend.
Fun for a while, I think it lacks long lasting appeal.
I think so too. They still have a lot of polishing to do but that ocean water looks fantastic!
New Game play trailer! sail the ship... shoot the other ship... patch the holes... dig a treasure... play a tune... Every game can be reduced to a small set of constantly repeated tasks and actions. The challenge for the developer is to keep that repetition fresh and engaging for the player over the course of the experience.
Classic down playing technique.
tbh i've been playing it, and it is very repetitive and there isn't much to do, i know its an alpha but i'm hoping they make the game more interesting than it is now..
My point IS, the trailers and videos are making the game look kind of NOT fun.
Gorpio system Seller LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO L
Why you gotta be a douche?
Joined the Alpha last week.. This game is fun as hell! Brought me back to the N64 coop days! Looking forward to playing this weekend!
Pretty much the same thought runs through my mind every time I see the game. Not really sure of the 'point' or 'bigger picture' but visually I really like the art style.
I take it that's Playstation fanboys marking down comments, cowards.
I am Primarily an Xbox One gamer (been playing more PS4 lately though, as there have been amazing exclusives for it lately), this game looks meh. I hope it isn't meh. I keep seeing trailers and footage and people. I see comments where people are getting excited and wonder if they saw the same borefest as me. I guess when there is such a lack of new IP exclusives (or exclusives in general) to look forward to on the xbox even the mediocre looking ones look like they're amazing. I hope i am wrong about this game.
I agree with you, especially if your not a coop guy, you won't be having as much fun as the others who is playing in a group. Also, it looks fun for a week, as it does not look very challenging to keep the gamers engaged for a while. But hopefully am wrong, I want to see these new IPs succeed so we get more like it.
I hope it is a success. Microsoft sorely needs new IP. Right now they rely heavily on Halo, Gears, and Forza. Quantum Break was average. Lets not talk about Recore. Only XBL games are providing some sort of interesting gaming. Things like Cuphead look fantastic. E3 will have to deliver beyond Crackdown, Forza, Halo etc. I want to see some strong 1st party support for the Scorpio. Horizon on the PlayStation 4 is unreal, truly a fantastic, exciting new franchise. It is true that Sony relies on sequels too, but they have so many good franchises that offer decent variety that you don't mind the sequels.
This looks like a very cool game, but is it only multiplayer or is there singleplayer to?
Don't think so... All trailers were for multiplayer.
Yeah, read it in another article.. Mp only. Sucks a little
Can't wait to play this on PC. Microsoft is doing well releasing both their games on Xbox and PC.
I really like the look and mechanics of this game, but I can't stand the way they advertise it in these videos. They talk to each other and explain the games systems and mechanics to each other as if no one (us) is watching, and like they have no idea the other person is a developer as well. I don't know why, but it really bugs me.
We can always use another pirate game, but I hope to test this game on PC before it comes out.
"Well Bob Sagat, the game is progressing well."
MS' next 7/10.
meh, no way this is the "next big exclusive" or a system seller. Non of it looks like the fun will last more then a week, then it will gather dust...
