Four months in and it's already one for the scrapbook. Here are 6 games that prove 2017 is a vintage year in gaming.
This years insane!!!
Not super like 2007 or 2011 (this century)
So far we got two masterpieces: Zelda BOTW and Persona 5
And Horizon: Zero Dawn. Sucks that it's no masterpieces from Microsoft this generation. :/
So far this year we have received 3 masterpieces: Horizon Zero Dawn, Zelda BOTW and PERONA 5. I would also add NIOH, Resident Evill 7 and NieR: Automata as very close runners ups. From January to April 2017 has been arguably the best first 4 months of gaming in years. I would go as far as to say that these first 4 months are better than the first 4 months of 2007 and 2011 as far as quantity and quality.
Hey Deep, you are the the Trollord king.
... and I know you know :D
Well this year may not be that great for YOU in particular. You game on Xbox One so I can't say I blame ya for feeling that way.
Several great exclusives this year.
"Not super like 2007 or 2011 (this century)"
To you, PS4 gen is not super like PS3 gen personally I prefer PS4 gen way above PS3 gen.
I even prefer Snes/Sega gen and PS1 gen above PS3 gen.
That PS3/X360 gen was mostly about FPS and shooters with lack of creativity and lack of variety of good games compared to PS1, PS2 and now PS4.
I get deeper if you want.
Dude deep throat shut up.
I mean it can convince some of the poorer and cheap PC gamers to join up. It's a good value for the performance. But with a console it's always limiting.
But my CPU is twice as strong and my gpu is close to twice as strong as scorpio. Scorpio is like an average pc power for any serious gamer who keeps their system up to date. I had the same gpu performance two years ago as Scorpio and my CPU is like almost 4 years old and already twice the Scorpio
I don't agree my fake PC gamer bro! Forza Horzion 3 is a masterpiece.
Decent to good games, no masterpieces, IMO.
No man, I'm not :/
tell that to those starved xbots that have to pretend they love every single second of halo wars 2....Even if the game flopped as hard as recore!
Tales of Berseria
Horizon Zero Dawn
Gravity Rush 2
PS4 is killing it
Kingdom Hearts 2.8
Night in The Woods
This is actually the first time in YEARS that I have to deal with a backlog. The list will get bigger too as Valkyria, Crash, FFXII, Ni No Kuni II and RDR2 are still coming out later this year
And I've only finished TWO of those games. My PS4 backlog is building up quick!
Is the risk of sounding kinda cynical. Its true the first 4 months of ps4 has been crazy good, but what about the next 8 months? Is there any CONFIRMED exclusive thats coming thats as massive as the first 4 months? Feels kinda bland the rest of the year for both Xbox and PS4.
Dreams by media molecule
Gran turismo sport by polyphony digital
Ni no kuni 2 by level 5
Crash remaster by Activision
Wipe out hd remaster by I forget
This year is still pretty damn strong for ps4 and Sony and this is all before e3.
Hope this helped.
Nothing exclusive that I see except things like Yakuza Kiwami and the UC4 expansion.. Which I'll be getting fo sho!
Also Detroit become human as well.
Crash insane trilogy
Uncharted lost legacy
Ni no kuni 2
These games are comfirmed for 2017 three of them already have release dates and more games can get announced at e3
Gravity Rush 2
For the rest of 2017 confirmed:
Wipeout Omega Collection
Crash N'sane trilogy
Uncharted: The lost odyssey
Gran Turismo Sport
Ni No Kuni II
Also, one of these games is highly possible for 2017:
God of War
Detroit: Become Human
I wouldn't call this bleach. This is awesome year for the PS4 for sure.
So basically you just ignored that there's a possibility of God of War releasing this year? The team confirmed that the game is fully playable from start to finish which means that it's a great possibility it actually might release of this year also Gran Turismo sport is also releasing this year.
You also ignored valkyria Revolution , Nino Kuni 2, Final Fantasy 12 remaster, Wipeout collection, the Yakuza 1 remake, Crash Bandicoot collection knack 2, hell-blade Uncharted Lost Legacy I mean for god sakes it literally sounds like you went out of your way to basically ignore the entire year. LMFAO!!!
Everybody's Golf 7 in August
This year feels like the PS2 era with all the great japanese games. I love it!
A good time to be a PS4 gamer, more like...
Its good time to be a gamer
It's a good time to be a gamer.
It's a better time to be a PS4 gamer.
Zelda Breath of The Wild
Yup pretty good year
Agree, also don't forget GG masterpiece Horizon Zero Dawn. Definitely belongs in the best of 2017 list.
Really great beginning of the year, lets hope end will be the same.
i hate this website. this is 2017 and you have to click next next next...
And it is not even May. So many games!
I had hoped Mass Effect Andromeda was good but it was broken.
On the other hand I've been enjoying Resident Evil 7,Breath of the Wild and Ghost Recon Wildlands
So many great games already, and Japan has come out swinging this year. One of the best stretches of gaming I can remember in a long time. Picked up Gravity Rush 2, Toukiden 2, Yakuza 0, Nioh, Nier: Automata, Persona 5, and currently playing Horizon.
Still coming...Dragon Quest Heroes 2, Akiba's Beat, Musou Stars, Senran Kagura Peach Beach, Tekken 7, Final Fantasy XII Zodiac Age, Ni No Kuni 2, Yakuza Kiwami, Gran Turismo Sport, Dragon Quest XI (here's hoping)....gah. Too much stuff!
I agree with you loving the games from japan. So many games not enough time. Oh well back to the goodness.
For some this year is being fantastic just like the previous ones. Others are expecting a new generation since 2013.
5 out the 6 games are on the PS4. That is a good way of saying what a beast the PS4 is.
Wow not one Xbox exclusive lol
Well Xbox has only had one exclusive in 2017 that was Halo Wars 2 and I don't think that's on anyone's best game list.
Play it on PC if anything. Xbox controller version is annoying
If you got a PS4 that is.
I have all those games & some except for Zelda.Next week DQH2 then Injustice 2,Crash & FFXII:ZA then I'm done till September.
Yeah this year is one of my favourites. I usually don't buy many new games but this year has changed.
I've played Nioh, Horizon and just started P5. All amazing games, but if you are a fan of ME, I have to add it as a reason this year has been so strong. I loved it as a fan. Hated when it ended even though I put in 100 hrs. I am ready for dlc and the next installment. It improved in so many ways and development on the next title should be much easier.
Nioh was fantastic, Horizon blew me away and while I've just begun P5, I know what I am in for. 2017 has been unreal and it's April!
I can't wait to see what is next!
6 games, 3 PS4 exclusives.
Buying PS4 was better decision than buying 3 times more expensive PC for me. I don't remember last time I played on PC ;(
