With the presidential campaign in full swing, Chris Morris of Forbes recaps of the current crop of election simulation games:
"Forget the pundits. Switch off the commentators. Tune out the political bickering. If you want to figure out who's going to win the 2008 election, you only need to load up a video game.
Well, OK, that's a bit simplistic. But you can at least run the campaign of your preferred candidate as you see fit. Or, if that sounds a bit heady, you can always have 'em go head to head "Mortal Kombat" style.
While you won't find many election-themed games on store shelves, the online world is brimming with them. Most are free, flash-based diversions that mimic well-known games and genres, but there are a few intelligent election simulators that even political wonks might enjoy."
