What the? What is this magic? This is insane! Those people are so damn talented.

mikeslemonade2578d ago

Hope you guys enjoyed your wait. While I'm 2 dungeons down and 41 shrines done.

Plus 95% of you people don't even have a pc strong enough to play it.

Erik73572578d ago

I have a really beefy pc to play it but I think its so cool to be able to play breath of wild on the go that I would end up getting it on the Switch anyway...

Gaming_Cousin2578d ago

"Hope you guys enjoyed your wait. While I'm 2 dungeons down and 41 shrines done. "

Lol I can play this on a crisp resolution and good framerate. The wait is well worth it

Stsonic2578d ago

No you can't gaming cousin. It runs at about 15fps on a high end pc and also stutters every few seconds

PlayableGamez-2578d ago

Running the Wii U emulator doesn't take alot
I was playing Super Mario 3D World just find on my i5 3570k and gtx 970
Recently upgrade to a 1070... So I guess I am in the 5%

_-EDMIX-_2578d ago

The dungeons in breath of the wild are probably the worst Dungeons in any Zelda game. I don't even know if I can even specifically call them dungeons lol

1908-PB2578d ago (Edited 2578d ago )

mikeslemonade---- salty he can't enjoy the better frames and graphics i will enjoy it and btw my system is above the requirements

MyDietEqualsGames2578d ago (Edited 2578d ago )

*plays BOTW in 4k* The wait was nice. Looks consistent @ 30 fps.

"No you can't gaming cousin. It runs at about 15fps on a high end pc and also stutters every few seconds"
I'm not seeing that at all here.

mikeslemonade2578d ago (Edited 2578d ago )

lol you guys like to assume..

The thing is I got to play day 1 and also get to play your sloppy seconds since my pc is a 4790k and 1080ti.

If you actually read the story they mean that the game can be finished but still performance issues. Even on the best computer the game isn't running well.

Guyfamily9992578d ago

It doesn't require too much actually (mostly cpu dependent). If you've got a good cpu and decent gpu it runs.

Highlife2578d ago

It's only legal to get a rom if you own a copy of the game. My guess most do not.

warriorcase2578d ago

And I thought the dead sea was salty, sheesh..

Sm30002578d ago

Lol omfg you are the biggest douche on here.

acemonkey2578d ago

@mike

PC strong enough to play it. Because the "Switch" and "Wii U" is such an Power House!!! are you kidding? My family pc that I used for emails and facebook could run it.

Allsystemgamer2578d ago

And I can play it in 4k with a stable framerate...

Cobra9512578d ago

Forget the waste of power that is 4K, run it 1080p or even lower (like the native 720p on WiiU), and many more of us will be able to run it at a playable frame rate.

2pacalypsenow2578d ago (Edited 2578d ago )

"The thing is I got to play day 1 and also get to play your sloppy seconds since my pc is a 4790k and 1080ti. "

Only 1 1080Ti? Take a seat single card peasant you sound like a douche.

BIGBOSS082577d ago (Edited 2577d ago )

Shut up. Nobody gives a shit how far into the game you are.

nX2577d ago

Haha why so salty? While you played through a subpar version with slowdowns I'm getting locked solid 30fps in 4k.

mikeslemonade2577d ago

Nice try 2pac

There's noway cemu supports SLI.

frostypants2577d ago

It's impressive. But it's also 100% theft if you play it on this without buying a copy.

Kokyu2578d ago

Yeah but I tried this on my A8 APU with R5 550M and it doesnt play it well only 4-5fps. So I guess you need a pretty good CPU and GPU combo.

Glak182578d ago

It's the new AMD/Nvidia hybrid mobile graphics card...either way he broke the first 2 rules of beginning guide to PC gaming. 1) Don't use an APU and 2) Don't game on a laptop.

Would get better performance with a $300 desktop.

Kokyu2578d ago

Its Readon mobile graphics on my laptop. Its not a hybrid its just AMDs mobile graphics.

The laptop is great for what I do with it which is pretty much nothing because I dont need a PC for pretty much anything ever. I play games, watch movies and stream on my Ps4 Pro. I do email and a little web browsing on it maybe 1-2hrs a month. I just wanted to try it out to see if it worked. The new build 1.7.4 runs a bit better but still only gets 5-7fps when the game is actually on.

So save your craptastic comments about the laptop, I really dont care what you think about it because I dont game on a PC havent in 25 years and dont plan on ever returning.

Also save your comments about Ps4 Pro I like it and it plays games just fine for me.

Utalkin2me2578d ago

@Kokyu

If you dont game on PC then how do you know this emulator on runs 5fps on your machine?

Kokyu2578d ago

@utalkin2me

Jesus christ you cant be that thick.

Glak182578d ago

@Kokyu

"Jesus christ you cant be that thick."

Words right from your own mouth. I was being sarcastic about the hybrid because AMD doesn't make a GPU 550M, Nvidia does. You probably meant A-8 5550M, which is integrated graphics and has NO dedicated VRAM. It actually utilizes system memory...which is BAAAAAD for any kind of gaming, especially when you are trying to emulate a modern game. You're lucky you even got 5 fps.

You stated you got crappy performance, I stated exactly why. Not because you need a super computer, you just need a user who isn't computer illiterate.

So thanks for your awesome story on how you use your laptop...AOL, solitaire, looking at pictures of horses wearing dresses, cool cool.

No clue why you even mentioned the PS4, Zelda is Nintendo, and my PS4 Pro was used when I played Horizon then I put it right back in the box until the next game comes out next year.

SirCharles2578d ago

It doesn't play well for you because you have an awful PC.

Kokyu2578d ago

And? You PC people really are the worst.

Utalkin2me2578d ago

@Kokyu

Guy is being honest though. Whats the worst is "you" people that cry over every little thing that is said.

Kokyu2578d ago

@talkin2me

No whats worse is people like you and him and how the culture of PC gamings devolvement into what it is today.

Trolls man they breed everywhere.

Utalkin2me2577d ago

Whats worst is people throw out names at first, then cry foul whenever is gets thrown back.

Kokyu--- dude lol did you go dumpster diving and found that laptop? even my old 2012 MSI GT70 would run circles around that laptop of yours

Kokyu2578d ago (Edited 2578d ago )

Actually I got it 4yrs ago on sale for 350$ and it works pretty well seeing as it just sits and collects dust most of the time. I honestly dont see a need or really need a PC my Ps4 Pro plays games, streams to twitch, youtube, facebook and I watch netflix, amazon, hulu plays blu rays just fine and I surf the web with my TV and android so I really have no need for a PC.

Utalkin2me2578d ago

@Kokyu

But you had a need to download and install a emulator and try to get Zelda running.

1908-PB2578d ago (Edited 2578d ago )

Kokyu---- just admit you don't have the money to build a PC that's all you have to say why are you cutting so many corners I own both a PS4 and a rig and a gaming laptop that cost me 1500$ + rig 1900$+ PS4 pro 530$=3,930$ it's time for you to get a job and stop your bi--tching. and BTW a PC does all of that you have listed and many many more. last note so you bought that laptop 4 years ago right for 350 plus your PS4 will be 750$ + PS+ and 60$ games (ex+10 games for 4 years) will be 1,590$ wow dude you have wasted so much money when you could have just gotten a PC from the start lol.. here this https://www.youtube.com/wat... .... I personally want to free you from your shackles

Kokyu2578d ago (Edited 2578d ago )

@utalkin2me

If you'd like I can send you my P.O box so you can send me love letters.

Yeah I thought Id try and emulator out on my 4yr old laptop to play Zelda instead of wasting money on nintendo hardware to play 1 game.

Amplitude2578d ago (Edited 2578d ago )

@Kokyu

I agree with you man, the PC gaming community is absolutely awful and these comments totally prove it.

That being said, your laptop is definitely incredibly below-average for a gaming forum and its clearly not going to run a WiiU emulator so i sort of agree that you shouldnt be saying the emulator doesnt work well on here lol. i dunno man. Don't let them ruin PC gaming for you - but also dont go smack-talking the pc as an emulator and then post your specs if you dont wanna get ripped on :p

Need a decent desktop CPU. They are still working on it and this isn't even out for people who didn't donate, till the 9th. for non-donators. Usually for emulation CPU>GPU.

Glak182578d ago

It's kind of funny you mentioned that, been biting my tongue. 1.7.4 isn't available to the public, unless you are a Patreon supporter...zoinks. You know he didn't install the latest version either.

He hasn't used a computer in 25 years, probably rocking Windows 98 SE and has to call tech support whenever any kind of prompt shows up on his screen. Oh these silly magic boxes.

JangoMan2577d ago

Here to confirm. I am getting a constant 30FPS min 28fps on my pc with cemu 1.7.4c Patreon version @ 1080p graphic pack.

My Specs : i7 6700K, 1070, 16gig ram.

With an xbox controller it plays great. :)

My PC can barely run Star Craft 2.
Is it possible to get a refurbished rig that can run Witcher 3 for $200 to $300?

tablecloth2578d ago

You can build a ~$300 PC and play Witcher 3 on ultra at around 30-40 fps. Put some settings on High and you get a good 60fps.
Star Craft 2 is known to be bad optimized, so your PC might be stronger than you think.

Utalkin2me2578d ago

You have lost your mind. There is no way a 300 dollar PC is going to run Witcher 3 on ultra at 30 to 40 fps.

This actually might be the dumbest comment i have read on here since i joined in 2008.

roland822578d ago

I'm guessing most of those parts are used

tablecloth2578d ago

@Utalkin2me https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Swap his Intel Celeron G3900 CPU for a Intel Pentium G4560 ( $20 more ) to get better performance.
He is using a GTX 1050 ( $150) or you could buy a used GTX 970 or RX 470/480 for almost the same price.
The Witcher 3 is optimized very good on PC, except for the Hairworks.

You shouldn't use the N4G comments and articles to understand where PC gaming is at. Go play fanboy war somewhere else.

Glak182578d ago

@tablecloth

I'm assuming when you say ultra, you mean 1080p? Not sure I haven't used 1080p in years and that's with my old mid-tier rig. You should specify resolution, it helps.

Now from your comment below you mention a $150 video card, maybe a $60 processor. That's over $200 of the $300. I guess you think a $20 PSU is good enough? What about the mobo? The memory? The hard drive? The case? The cooling? Anyone who has built more than one PC knows the PSU is not something you skimp on and get whatever.

I just watched the youtube video and got a good laugh. See this is why console turds have so many issues with PC gaming, because they watch this trash and think the kid knows what he is talking about. That rig is built to last for a month. A Logisys 480 W trash PSU paired with the dirt of the dirt Crucial 8 GB POS memory. Every single kid that tried to duplicate that rig has probably posted a negative review on Steam complaining about crashes every 5 minutes and how the game sucks. This video just proved anyone can build a PC, just not many know how to do it right.

tablecloth2578d ago

@Glak18 Ultra means Ultra and yes 1080p, $300 4k would be absurd.
The Intel Celeron's Skylakes are probably the best low tier entry CPU there is. And a much safer future upgrade choice than refurbished rigs that are most likely older gen but probably better for the price/performance.
My old build was an i5 3570, GTX 960 with a cheap 8gig ram, I never had issues with crashing whatsoever. Except if the game was poorly optimized which the TW3 isn't. I ran the game with a mix of Ultra/High and maybe 1 or 2 on medium with Hairworks off and it did easily +30fps. And that PC was from 3-4 years ago.

TW3 does not need a lot of power to perform at 1080p, that game runs probably better today than when I played it and the Intel Celeron + GTX 1050 is about the same tier that I used to be but at a much cheaper price. My old $180 i5 is on par with a $60 CPU nowadays.

PC gaming does not have to be expensive, but if you invest more/better it will only become better.

Utalkin2me2577d ago

@tablecloth

Lol, at throwing fanboy comments my way. Windows alone will cost you 80-100 bucks alone. Dont make me embarrass you like the other little kids on here.

If you want to challenge me in PC add me on steam then big boy....Pm me then you can talk you're crap.

Utalkin2me2577d ago (Edited 2577d ago )

@tablecloth

BTW, i bought a used PS4 pro for 175 dollars that runs Horizon at 2160p @ 30fps and looks better then Witcher3 on ultra. So go figure.

BTW, My power supply alone cost more then your cheap turd of computer.

LordoftheCritics2577d ago (Edited 2577d ago )

Lol NO.

Talk sense.

This is the minimum spec for Witcher 3.

OS: 64-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1). ...
Processor: Intel CPU Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz, AMD CPU Phenom II X4 940.
Graphics: Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 660 or AMD GPU Radeon HD 7870. ...
RAM: 6GB.
Disk space: 40 GB.
OS: 64-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1).

I have a gtx 980m and i7 with 24gb ram and trust me, at ultra i barely get 45 fps. I play it on high with hair off, maybe texture ultra and then hit 60fps.

Goto pcpartpicker, newegg or whatever and build it. Far far from 60fps.

Ok now stop advising wrong things. Internet has enough of it.

tablecloth2577d ago

@Utalkin2me https://tweakers.net/pricew...
It's Dutch website, 25euro so in US $ it should be even cheaper. As you suddenly add PS4 Pro and Horizon ( which does look better ), you exposed yourself as a fanboy. I'm getting Persona 5 today so call me anti PlayStation all you want.

@LordoftheCritics My PC is a i7 6700k, 16gb 2666MHz ram and a RX 480.
Since you didn't put all the specs out ( i7 what? ) my guess it's a laptop atleast ~$800-$1000+ since your specs are almost the same as mine. Build a $800 PC instead and you got yourself a high end PC. I can't speak about laptop since I never bought one but I know atleast you can't compare it to the PC with the same specs.

Don't know why someone downvoted you. This is good information for people who want to get more invested into PC gaming and are leery of the budget myth that console warriors who smack talk on PC with. POtato Masher. Hahaha. Great name for a great budget build series. I even subbed to it. So, thanks from me.

Glak182578d ago

Now that is a more respectable build, not sure how Witcher 3 would run on it...probably Medium or High with a lot of tweaks to get steady frame rates around 45-50. Worst case scenario it performs on par with the PS4.

SirCharles2578d ago

Yes. eBay has a bunch of old office PC's with the i5 2400 CPU for around $150. Try to find one from a reliable seller, preferably with 8gb of RAM. Then with the rest you can buy a GTX 1050, those can be had new for as low as $100 and don't need a power cable. Just plug into the Mobo and you're all set.

bluefox7552578d ago (Edited 2578d ago )

Yes. mobo: $40, G4560 $60, 8gb RAM $50, psu $30, case $20, hdd $20, 1050 ti $140. That's $360 new. You can get that down to $300 with refurbished parts, rebates, ebay, and general sale searching easily. Or cut off the price of the case, HDD, and PSU and use the ones you already have.

Glak182578d ago

Seems like a trend, people assume the only important components are CPU and GPU and everything else will be fine. The biggest culprits of game and system crashes are 1) updated drivers 2) bad performing power supply 3) faulty memory modules.

$20 HDD? I guess you could get something like a WD Blue drive, but those are made for storage access. Games will take a major hit when playing off one of those.

I'd rather get a cheaper video card so I could get a better PSU.

bluefox7552578d ago (Edited 2578d ago )

@Glak18 He's on a tight budget, I didn't say they were the only things that mattered, but if you want to be able to play modern games like Witcher 3, you will get the most bang for your buck by focusing on gpu and cpu. As far as the PSU, you can get a decent one for cheap, especially if you won't be using much power , and a 1050ti will not, example https://www.newegg.com/Prod... A cheap HDD might affect your windows, load times and general desktop performance, but it won't hurt your frames per second.

So many people in the comments of that vid:
"Where do I download the ROM"
If you have the money for the hardware to run it, surely buying the game to dump it in CEMU isn't too much to ask.

RedDevils2578d ago

You don't need to buy you could just download it for free lol Unless you have a WiiU then why bother with the emulator to begin with, but if you don't it better just download it for free.

DragonDDark2578d ago

That's Stealing though. Buy the game & support the devs.

CDbiggen2578d ago

I don't mind people wanting to play it in the best possible quality, but i do mind when people just leech off of stolen shit. And that's where the majority of the interest is going to come from, cheap shits like you. You're desperate to emulate a game of that high quality from a company that will probably struggle financially soon and go full third party where the games will probably end up being not as special.

Glak182578d ago

I bought a copy of Zelda BotW and enjoying it very much, but I also would love to play the game without terrible performance. Seriously 30 fps needs to go away forever...well when Zelda actually hits that high.

ShadowHarp2578d ago

The emulator doesn't really fix the fps issue actually.

Lon3wolf2577d ago

@Glak18

The game is designed for 30 FPS, running at 60 isn't a good idea.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the anti-Breath of the Wild

FinalFantasyFanatic122d ago

I can't even remember how many times I played through OoT, I finished that game, and collected everything so many times.

Vits123d ago

I generally agree with the author here. However, if I had to point out a single game as the 'anti-Breath of the Wild,' that would be Majora's Mask. Pretty much everything in that game is interconnected, relies on something that the player must have done previously, is timed, and can be considered a puzzle in itself.

Nintendo not thinking about older Zelda games, "difficult to say" if classic style will return

The Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma has again commented on the possibility of revisiting the style of past entries in the series – but there are no plans as of now. Speaking with RTL Nieuws, Aonuma said that games like Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom were possible because of what came before them.

Which is very sad. I still wish we could get a zelda like twilight princess, the dark tone and theme in the traditional style. But times have changed and the masses prefer open world sandbox. Smh. Perhaps we can get a proper hd remake of ocarina of time some day.

CDbiggen262d ago

I played 100 hours of Tears of the Kingdom, enjoyed it, but ready for a game like that next.

kythlyn296d ago

If they can bounce between 2D and 3D Mario games, they can bounce between classic and modern Zelda games too. I thought this was a given when the Switch combined a handheld with a primary console.

Inverno296d ago

Then this is where I part ways. I won't disagree with anyone who says that the old formula was getting stale. And I do think BoTW in a few ways was a step in the right direction, but there's way too much good that was left with the old formula in the transition.

CrimsonWing69296d ago

I want it to. I’m sorry, but these new Zelda games I just can’t get into.
