Casual Review Reviews: Fashion Star

Casual Review writes: "With regards to gameplay, my opinions are a mixed bunch. On the bright side, this game allows the player unlimited freedom in expressing their creativity. After being assigned a task by an editor and briefed on her color preferences, the player is set loose into malls to purchase any combination of clothing and accessories used in dolling the model up, limited only by virtual cash. The downside of all this, is the lack of clear indicators showing how well the player is doing, and why. Players are rated at the end of the task, upon a total score of 5, but not given an explanation of why certain scores are obtained or how to improve if scores are low. Players can only stick as close as possible to the editors' color preferences and hope for the best score – which is close to what happens in reality, but adds an undesirable uncertainty to a piece of entertainment software."
