I've got 15 hours in and like it so far.

Dark_Knightmare22586d ago

Yeah I'm at 22 hrs and really liking it so far. I've always said the og trilogy felt like Star Wars but this new game which I hope is the beginning of a new trilogy feels so much like Star Trek with the sense of discovery and making contact with new alien species im really digging that

LordoftheCritics2586d ago

Yea it does have a more Star Trek/Firefly vibe.

Feels more adventurous.

joab7772586d ago

You don't have to feel bad, this game is epic! It IS better in so many ways. You now feel like a space adventurer. I am very happy with the game!

I still have to finish Dishonored 2,Dark Souls 2, Return to Arkham,Sniper Elite 4, Abzu, Gravity Rush 2, think I'll go with Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 11.5 Remix, Dark Souls 3 The Ringed City. I still need to get Nier, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, TWD New Frontier episode 3, Titanfall 2-Colony Reborn. I might even check out Toukiden 2(the kids and I liked some of the Monster Hunter games) and it looks kinda cool to me. Then in April finally Persona 5! The kids want Lego City Undercover, Bullet Storm Full Clip Edition( I never played the one on PS3,) Yooka Laylee, Sniper:Ghost Warrior 3, Outlast Trinity, Dragon Quest Heroes II, Little Nightmares. Then when May hits there will be games I'll get in the form of.....Prey, Farpoint(on my brothers PSVR) Injustice 2, Rime, Sonic Mania. Then when June hits Tekken 7, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, So i'll have more than enough games to never ever miss ME Andromeda. Plus I'm still playing HZD, Nioh, Berzerk, Final Fantasy XV, Final Fantasy X I & X-2 H.D.Remasters. So many games and the ones Ilisted that haven't released yet I'm getting day one....all of them! So ME Andromeda if I ever get it will be when it's pre owned in a bargin bin.

LordoftheCritics2586d ago (Edited 2586d ago )

Trust me, Andromeda is better than majority of those games. I have played almost all in your list.

The reviewers are very very wrong. You think Andromeda deserves the same score as 1-2 switch? Within the first few hours itself it is evident that Andromeda is a mammoth undertaking. Few bugs aside, it is amazing.

Hardiman2586d ago

I've played all the ones that have released and having play some of the new Mass Effect I'm sorry but I'll pass. My brother bought it day one and was over it after 20 hours so he let me try. Squad mates floating, terrible characters and a badly written story just don't do it for me.

Dark_Knightmare22586d ago

&hardiman I get so tired of seeing that played out criticism by people most who haven't even played the game let alone beat it about being badly written and terrible characters. Give some examples of the badly written story and don't cherry pick the "my face is tired" line and give some examples of the terrible characters because the companions are all pretty good

LordoftheCritics2586d ago

Andromeda is brilliant. The reviewers were so wrong. I guess EA did not pay them off.

DrShoe2586d ago

Go home Manveer Heir, you're drunk!

DrShoe2586d ago

It's not entirely crap, but i expected more from bioware - definitely the biggest disappointment since dragon age 2

Hardiman2584d ago

My brother has already traded his copy lol. He would up getting Nier instead.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the anti-Breath of the Wild

Polygon: "To get back to the way Ocarina made us feel, it was necessary to reject almost everything about it."

LG_Fox_Brazil122d ago

Ocarina of Time changed my life forever, such a masterpiece

Zeldafan64122d ago

Hard to believe it's 25 years old already.

Cacabunga122d ago

The feeling this game gave me the first time i had my hands on it is indescribable.. i still get the chill from that day..
botw is like a spin off of the series.. it’s fun but with many flaws and the most important which is Zelda formula isn’t there..

FinalFantasyFanatic121d ago

I can't even remember how many times I played through OoT, I finished that game, and collected everything so many times.

Vits122d ago

I generally agree with the author here. However, if I had to point out a single game as the 'anti-Breath of the Wild,' that would be Majora's Mask. Pretty much everything in that game is interconnected, relies on something that the player must have done previously, is timed, and can be considered a puzzle in itself.

gold_drake121d ago

but still considered the best of the seties.

i would have liked botw to be more like ocarina.

franwex121d ago (Edited 121d ago )

25 years from today whatever Zelda is out people would too be looking fondly at Breath of the Wild.

Ah the more simple times of the 2020s.

babadivad121d ago (Edited 121d ago )

It isn't...

Nintendo not thinking about older Zelda games, "difficult to say" if classic style will return

The Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma has again commented on the possibility of revisiting the style of past entries in the series – but there are no plans as of now. Speaking with RTL Nieuws, Aonuma said that games like Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom were possible because of what came before them.

Which is very sad. I still wish we could get a zelda like twilight princess, the dark tone and theme in the traditional style. But times have changed and the masses prefer open world sandbox. Smh. Perhaps we can get a proper hd remake of ocarina of time some day.

CDbiggen261d ago

I played 100 hours of Tears of the Kingdom, enjoyed it, but ready for a game like that next.

kythlyn295d ago

If they can bounce between 2D and 3D Mario games, they can bounce between classic and modern Zelda games too. I thought this was a given when the Switch combined a handheld with a primary console.

Inverno295d ago

Then this is where I part ways. I won't disagree with anyone who says that the old formula was getting stale. And I do think BoTW in a few ways was a step in the right direction, but there's way too much good that was left with the old formula in the transition.

CrimsonWing69295d ago

I want it to. I’m sorry, but these new Zelda games I just can’t get into.

Duke19295d ago

Well that sucks. I still love the classic formula WAY more than the Hyrule Engineering Simulator
