Speedrunning is great fun. The thing is, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild shows the community needs to get itself together.
Nah i disagree. Speedrunning has existed for so long and nobody is forced to partake in it but you cant tell them they should stop or slowdown thats silly.
Telling a speedrunner do do any of those things is like telling the Sun to turn off. Not going to happen.
The whole purpose of Speed Runners is to Speed Run. lol
I don't know how these idiots get these articles approved.
None of you actually read the article, you're just commenting on the title. It's pretty funny actually, asside from the whole "losing faith in humanity" thing.
What the heck is this crap? So these guys are just butt hurt that speedrunners were able to complete this game in about an hour and a half with in less than a week of its release?
People it's not that serious, their record is literally down to about an hour and some change without any major glitches mind you.
No one's forcing anyone to speedrun and why would you tell a community that's solely based on the concept of speed running a game to not speed or on a game?
One of my good friends hold several records regarding the Zelda series and other Nintendo properties and I've watched him play literally hundreds of hours of breath of the wild he's enjoying the game and he's actually 100%ing the game before he goes for his title run.
You could say this copy paste on every game to ever release.
The people that Speed Run games are the biggest fans of those games in the first place, they're not simply playing it for the record they're also playing it cuz they enjoy it.
I wouldn't speedrun Zelda because I enjoy the game so much. If anything I'm slow-playing it. Not going to presume to tell someone else what to do with their copy though. If they like to speedrun then godspeed. I hope one day someone can do it in 30 minutes or less.
