Mass Effect Andromeda review - a fantastic, fumbling fresh start - Critical Hit

Mass Effect Andromeda is a fresh start – but in borrowing liberally from the first game, it’s made many of the same mistakes. In spite of them, it’s an exciting space adventure that delivers everything that’s become important to Mass Effect: Great characters, fun exploration, and a climactic tale of good vs evil.

Mass Effect 1 - 91(360) and 85(PS3) on Metacritic
Mass Effect 2 - 96(360) and 94(PS3) on Metacritic
Mass Effect 3 - 93(360 and PS3) on Metacritic
Mass Effect: Andromeda - 77(XO) and 73(PS4) on Metacritic

This installment really knocked the franchise off its esteemed position at the top of western RPGs

Graphics shouldn't really affect my decision to buy a game over gameplay. But since this is a game heavy on story, the awkward the facial animations, wonky body movement, and glitches would break me away from the game. I'll wait to see what happens a few more patches down the road.

sure, that's why I'm enjoying breath of the wild. However, breath of the wild knows its limitations and works within them to make something that is still pleasing to my eye (just wish the framerate was better in places).
Overall I think mass effect just seems boring and doesnt have a very interesting narrative to make up for it.
