Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Wii U) - Review - A 90s Kid

Nintendo blew up Zelda and rearranged the pieces in bite-sized chunks perfect for an open journey of discovery. After falling in love with Ocarina of Time in 1998 but failing to engage with any Zelda after, 0;Breath of the Wild did the impossible and made me feel like a kid again.

The story is too old to be commented.

Yes completely stunning never right off Nintendo they always rewrite the rule book. Gameplay is king.

I'm not big on numbers for review scores but gave it 5/5 (N4G changes it to /10). No game is perfect. BotW has performance issues, a slight lack of enemy variety, and I would have liked to see a better travel system to discourage fast travel (skipping and hopping with paraglider would be fun)

But the experience and feeling this game gave was irreplacable. I thought I had grown out of Zelda games after Ocarina, and at times I feel like I've grown out of gaming all together, but this game brought me back in a way that is very special. I'll always think fondly of March 2017 and especially launch day as my love for Zelda emerged from hibernation like Link from the cave
