"Playstation Underground has brought us over 40 minutes of Mass Effect Andromeda gameplay is glorious 4K. Of course, this is only possible on the PS4 Pro."

No, that's a lie!

The game is not even 4K on PS4-Pro. If you want to make that claim, then it is also 4K on the X1-s as they both upscale the game to 4K.

I am sure it does look great on the pro. It just isn't 4K, not even CB 4K.

whats there to diss about sony? they're on top.. try again

I agree that it's not 4k, it's 1800p checkerboard rendered and then upscaled.

It's not the same as the X1S upscaling it's 900p output tho....

Thing is though, it has to be captured in 4k and it needs a 4k TV, there's where this is coming from....

@texag

Source for your claim?

MISLEADING! it's only 1440 [email protected] using checkerboard rendering! So it got a resolution upgrade it graphically looks no different upscaled! I wish these sites would stop misleading people and banning people for stating facts and calling it trolling!

Aenea489d ago

It's 1800p checkerboard rendered and it's not the same as a normal upscale....

Though it's entirely weird that the video is maxed at 1080p....

Ju489d ago

Probably a limitation of Pro's streaming? If that was actually streamed from the Pro directly.

@Ju

If you want to make a video for publication like this you make sure it's going to be 4k with a capture device. I mean what's the point of saying "look at this 4k video!" when it's in 1080p? It's silly

@texa

Indeed, still means you need a 4k TV to see it tho...

Also, you still haven't given a source for your weird claim elsewhere..........

@texa

Am talking about this:
"It's 1800p sometimes. Only when it can handle it. Other times it could be as low as 1080p upscaled."

Especially the 1080p part. I can understand it dropping a bit if they use a dynamic resolution, but dropping to 1080p is nonsensical without actual proof...

How did this get approved? Not 4k footage in video not 4k footage captured..
