VGChartz's Evan Norris: "Renegade is a serviceable nod to the arcade racers of yesteryear. Its racing mechanics are fluid and easy-to-learn, its customization options robust, and its offline and online multiplayer modes a plus. However, it's let down somewhat by a handful of lackluster maps and annoying police intervention. Overall, it's a decent but unspectacular arcade racer. Those nostalgic for the 90s or eager to play a modern wave racing game should give it a look."
KeenGamer: ''The Riptide GP: Renegade includes a multitude of events and five bosses in its single-player game. Can you beat all the game's bosses and events?"
KeenGamer: ''Riptide: GP includes nine wet and wild race tracks. Players will probably win more races by discovering the shortcuts on those tracks. The list below includes six of the best shortcuts in Riptide: GP Renegade.''
The quirky appeal of the much-loved but ultimately doomed Dreamcast came from the fact that it wasn’t really up for running FPS shooters with that admittedly absymal joypad, and EA didn’t bother showing up to fill it full of sports games. Instead, the console made its name on arcade ports and one of the best was the water-based racing gem, Hydro Thunder. It was a slick, impressive and fun racer that was full of brilliantly designed courses and nice, showy graphical touches, and managed to be enjoyable despite the fact that racing on water is a horrible idea for a game. https://www.mybkexperience....
