US Politics Affecting Esports; Smash 4 and Street Fighter V Players Hit by Immigration Ban

We live at a time where it seems like anything is possible, and so is US politics affecting esports athletes. The recent ban on seven Muslim-majority countries puts not only people residing in those countries at risk of not entering the country, but also disallows several esports athletes entrance to the country.

Wrong, there were a number of British doctors (full British citizens, born in the UK, of middle eastern descent), who couldn't enter America despite having all the right Visa's and paperwork. They were supposed to be comparing data and research with their American counterparts.
This was before the stay was announced.

The whole thing is bogus anyway. The 7 countries involved have no history of US terror attacks, but Saudi Arabia and Egypt (both having terrorists responsible for 9/11) are not on the list (Trump has business ventures in both).

But it's all for the safety of Americans, we don't want another "Bowling Green Massacre" (for those that don't know, it's a fictitious massacre that Trumps team invented and then said the reason nobody had heard of it was because of a media cover-up....It never happened).

Trump is trying to portray Europe as being in crisis with immigrant terrorists running rampant. The truth is you are 4.7x more likely to meet a violent end in America than in the UK.

Obama didn't ban anyone. People still came in to the country each and every month, just less people as it was stricter vetting and it only affected 1 country (not 7 where most countries had nothing to do with any terror attacks and they leave out Saudi Arabia where 9/11 hijackers were from...). Also, it was as a result of an actual threat, not made up facts or "alternative facts"...

As for the people being unable to compete in the esports competitions, the ban has been suspended now so hopefully things work out for the.

Etc. Trump could tell that federal judge to get lost if he wanted too. He is working under statutory authority like many presidents before him. It's nothing new.

Um, those 7 countries where chosen by Obama in the Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015. It was signed into law on December 18, 2015, as part of the Omnibus Appropriations Act of FY2016. Trump had no input on that ban because his team used a Law that was already established by Obama for reference and banned those 7 countries that had been chosen by Obama already.

How would you feel if you were banned for a competition that you worked hard for and can possibly win money? I know it's cool now just to be cold hearted and think about yourself in your bubble but at least try to put yourself in the other person shoes.
