THQ, the Southern California publisher best known for Rugrats and WWE wrestling, is experimenting with controller interfaces to bring real-time strategies to the consoles, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Publishing Kelly Flock told IGN over the phone last week.
"We are doing R&D on real-time strategy console interfaces," said the industry veteran. "The next gen consoles are ready for them."
THQ published the widely acclaimed RTS Company of Heroes and Warhammer 40,000 last fall on PC, and is following up with Supreme Commander in February. When asked whether those games will make the transition to the consoles, Flock said, "Company of Heroes is unequivocally not coming to consoles." He declined to further elaborate.
