Pachter: Nintendo Switch Will Be Successful

Nintendo Insider writes: Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter is optimistic that Nintendo Switch will be successful, predicting that the console’s sales will effortlessly outperform Wii U in the first year.

No, he just isn't going by n4g's warped mindset. This is the only site that doubts it. Because half the people on here only have a Playstation, well of course they are gonna justify their purchase and tell everyone they made the best purchase and bash anything thats not a ps4 because they want to feel like their judgment is "superior".

I keep on telling people third party will be less of a problem because of indie gaming as well. Much less emphasis but still existent but less than before for big triple AAA titles because of Indie gaming. Let me tell you, Nintendo is defiantly happy about this. Some people religiously worship Fifa and 2k, Nintendo has those franchises for the Switch.

Also, prepared to be surprised by Ubisoft's strong support for Switch. Beyond evil exclusive for 2018/2019 will be a big deal.

I see Pokemon also heavily pushing this system. Pokemon, Meteoroid, Beyond Evil 2 will be defiantly some of the heavy hitters for 2018.

He's usually right about the blatantly obvious stuff, but the majority of his 'years from now' predictions have been dead wrong... it's gotten to the point that a lot of people just believe the opposite of whatever he says.

Predicting the fate of Nintendo's products isn't impossible, but so much of what they do is new and without precedent... the Wii was a revolution, but it's 'successor' was a flop, Pokémon Go was a phenomenon, but Mario Run was a 'failure' - it's always a crapshoot with the big N!

Price is fine with me. Right where I was expecting it. "The lack of games" is just at launch I personally believe. The launch line up is sparse, but I'm sure it will pick up later in the year/next year. Don't forget E3 is coming, so we shall see what Nintendo has in store for their new device. Like I said, I'm optimistic, but also not blindly defending Nintendo... They have made some several mistakes with this console. Like the voice chat and party system being on an app, the launch line up being kinda bad, (besides Zelda) and the extra accessories being a little too expensive. I want every company to have success, and Nintendo is no different.

He's right this time this thing will be a success. People are worried about 3rd party support. But what they fail to realize is 3rd parties have already confirmed that the system has the ability to run games on the PS4 and Xbox one. The online feature will not rely directly on your phone I think edgy left online open because he wasn't supposed to talk about it at this point. I bet there is another direct once we get closer to release along with a tv campaign.
