Game Argus writes: "For Star Wars fans, it's been a rough go for a few years. The only console games have been the childish (albeit fun) LEGO Star Wars titles, and the only movie was the animated disaster Clone Wars. In steps The Force Unleashed, a game desperately trying to reclaim some stake in this series. On some levels, it works as intended.
Playing out in the gap between the final movie prequel Revenge of the Sith and the beloved original film A New Hope, the game has players taking on the role of Darth Vader's apprentice. Raised on the dark side of the force, the child grows into a full-fledged Jedi, which is where the story picks up, at least after one level in which the player controls Vader himself."
