SEGA Saying "So Long!" To GD-ROM Production?

According to a ragtag group of Dreamcast aficionados, SEGA is on the verge of ceasing production of GD-ROM discs, its proprietary disc format used for the Dreamcast and some of its arcade machines. As crazy as this sounds to us gaijin, Dreamcast games still come out in Japan, mostly shmups, and there's even a couple of games slated for release over the next two months. It looks like Dreamcast support in Japan is officially over. Without the discs, no new games can be released. :-(
