It obviously sells well enough. It is on it's 6th game in the main series with lots of spin offs and remakes.

Not every game needs to be marketed heavily, marketing can inflate the budget quite quickly which makes you reliant on the title selling multi millions.

It sells enough in total yes, but the series was almost discontinued in the west due to lackluster sales which is why it took 3 years for Yakuza 5 to make it outside Japan. The series has MASSIVE potential in the west though if they can get the word out, even in terms of story it would get the interest of the booming asian drama community here in the us (no joke they're getting pretty damn popular here) hell even shenmue fans would love this. Problem barely anyone knows it exists. All they need is one trailer that displays both the action and the story equally, or a single appearance on like Jimmy Fallon or Conan

I hope they get Yakuza 0 on the Clueless Gamer segment. Could really get it some more exposure, and grab the attention of people who are familiar with the series, but have never tried it.

I've just seen the metacritic... They only had to make it and distribute...
