You mean they used PR to try and keep customers interested while the developers were taking their time on the project instead of focusing on getting it done??? So... is it MS fault the game wasn't progressing or PG (you know, since they were the ones doing the work)? MS gave them time and what did PG give them? A fancy demo, excuse me... an expensive fancy demo.

Where's this quote stating he said that? The link you have shown doesn't show that at all. "As we're looking at our lineup for this year, and where [Platinum Games] are with Scalebound —what their aspirations are — and that game is super aspirational and huge ... we want to give them enough time and resources to do that," Greenberg said.
I change the link to one that has the actual statement from Greenburg. The first link just referenced the story and didn't give proper links, that's why I changed it. He claims it was delayed because it needed "time to breathe" because there were too many games.
Your new link doesn't state what you are either: "So strategically, give it time to breathe. Let’s make sure we can give it enough space. First and foremost, always make sure the game is great." It's continuing on from the statement I posted above.
While explaining the delay he says, while looking at their line-up they strategically gave it time to breath. "we want to give them enough time and resources to do that," and in less than a year stopped development.
What this means is MS needs to scramble to put together something show worthy in 4 months at E3. I mean if Scorpio comes and all they have is a bunch of 3rd party plats that look a little bit better than the Pro, it's not really going to impress many people.
And rightly so. And scrambling they are, I'm sure of it.
Well hopefully they're not scrambling and that the cancellation of scalebound was a calculated moved based on they are confident in their surprise game announcements for this move to have little negative effect in the long term.
Show something they can deliver should be first priority.
I am not bashing on Sony here I am just saying from a gamers perspective. I am really not excited for either console exclusives. Sonys line up may be big but most of thoses games are indie games and as a gamer. I really don't give a crap about indie games or Japanese games. I understand there's people that love Japanese games and indie games that's cool but more people I feel buy big block buster games the most. Uncharted is a good game last of us and others as well. However where not really getting those this year. Crash, horizon zero, and uncharted dlc or game? Are the only ones who stick out to me. Xbox: well sea of thieves (maybe if I would see less water and more combat) Crackdown 3: (maybe if I see gameplay! I've never played a crackdown soo idk what to expect) State of decay 2: Ooo for sure! Halo wars 2: NOPE Soo from a gamers perspective there both meh for me at least. It just depends what games you like to play in the end. I can't wait for that spiderman game that Sony as planned thou 👍
I do have to say this though some of you guys are thinking when Scorpio comes out what then? But what? The new Triple a titles will still be coming out for both and the difference about pro vs Xbox Scorpio is all your games will transfer including Xbox 360 games sooo that cool. Some of you guys are making it sound like its the beginning of the Xbox one and ps4 days where there was absolutely nothing to play lol. Both didn't have backwards compatible at the time. That's not the case with this upgrade.
