Emilio at The Koalition writes: It was just brought to my attention that Shinji Hirano, former president of Konami Europe has been listed as President of Kojima Productions for at least a month. After going on LinkedIn to update my own profile I noticed that Hirano had recently updated his current position as the President at Kojima Productions; with his start date being November 2016.
Pocketpair, the developer behind Palworld, has said that the studio plans to remain a small independent game developer.
The Hogwarts Legacy video game is on sale for the lowest price yet. You can get the Standard Edition on Steam for $29.99 down from $59.99 (that's $30 off). And, the Digital Deluxe Edition can be picked up for just $59.99, which is $59.99 off its usual price of $119.98.
50% is about as far as I made it through the game too. It started so strong in and around the castle... $30 feels about right though
It's like they are pushing us away from gaming on consoles. The standard edition of this game is currently on sale on Xbox for $41.99, on PlayStation for $69.99 and on steam for $30.00. The PS store usually have sales on Tuesdays so hopefully, we will see the price being matched when the store gets updated.
Palworld is a runaway success for developer Pocketpair, but creator Takuro Mizobe isn't looking to make triple-A Xbox games anytime soon.
This is a pretty big deal and I'm surprised the bigger sites didn't catch this info first. I'll be very interested to see where Kojima Productions goes from here but Death Stranding still is a long way from release.
WTF! I would've thought that Kojima would distance himself from anything tainted by Konami, let alone allow an ex-Konami president become president of Kojima Productions. Hmm...maybe Konami really are run by the Yakuza!?!?
This is definitely interesting to hear. Wonder what this means for not only Kojima Productions, but also some of the discussions that have been had in the wake of Kojima leaving Konami. Curious as to why they hired Hirano-san to be their president of the company.
Someone who is not Kojima heading Kojima Productions? Hmm. Why would Konami keep the Kojima name and not just rename the studio. I understand Kojima's name has value without a doubt. But, after everything that happened you would think they would try and distance themselves from the Kojima name.
Oh God, will we ever get rid of them?
