BitRaider launched its new intelligent streaming technology at the Austin Game Developer Conference that lets players begin playing games when only 10% of the installation is complete.
if this proves viable we may see dd games much sooner and it would hamper piracy most likly intriguing tech
gamestop will be owned
has been done on the 360 for HD movie downloads for the longest. Nothing new, they will adapt the technology for games and we will witness the death of blueray and DVD for gaming. All the Sony droids will resist the technology for the sake of Sony, and hold on to their old bluray technology even if the downloadable games are cheaper, this is the only thing that will allow bluray to survive for a short time longer after this technology is released.
Yeah and when your hard drive is full goodbye games. I want to play my games when i want to play them. Imagine that my 16 PS3 games didn't fit in the hard drive, i erased one then a month later i want to play it again, i'm screw cos ill have to start downloading it and wait and hour to play it(screw that). And since all those services work only in North America then the rest of the world can go to hell right? Is not going to happen, at least not that soon.

by the time that happens the Xbox 360 would of been dead for 10 years :) plus i dont fancy not owning what i play or being online just to play it.
Wonderful i say you seem to have it all figured out.
Nice, the World Of Warcraft trial works the same way. Almost the whole game is streaming download. Probably more games already that i don't know of. Nice technology which we will deffinetly going see more of.
Pretty soon people will just have an account, log in all their games will be online, DL and start playing the game as it loads. It's odd how technology tends to circle route itself. Before we had server-terminal, then every teminal became a server, and soon we're back to server-terminal. This is the same thing that will happen to the next handhelds, they're have high enough broadbrand connections that you can play your console and it will stream it to your handheld. Imagine the next psp with ps4 quality graphics, no moving parts, a massive battery life, only a screen and a very powerful wi-fi connection, playing games directly from your PS4.
