Take Two used the money from GTA 4 to pay off all of its debt so now the company is in the black. And we all know it is harder to buy a company when it is making money. Stockholders don't want to sell when they see the price of their stock going up. And couple that with EA's loses this year, they probably can afford Take Two. Too many acquisitions in one year hurts the bottom line.

Indeed. I've seen better looking PS2 games than GTA IV. One of the Houser brothers actually said that Microsoft won't see GTA V on their console if they don't do something about the storage problem (DVD). Even if they get a Blu-ray player on the 360, it couldn't be used for games.

Now, when you say a comment like that. That you know the 360 has stronger visuals... What games are you talking about? Because the PS3 has been documented to have second to none visuals. VISUALS here, lets talk about graphics since you mentioned the graphics. I don't want to hear about how you didn't like the following games because you never played them but:

Metal Gear 4
Gran Turismo Prologue
Heavenly Sword
Motostorm
R1

All are beyond anything that the 360 can dish out. The 360's "graphics" games are Gears of War, Halo, Just Cause and Kameo. All are old, and none have anything close when it comes to scale/textures/post processing/amount of detail on screen than any of those ps3 titles mentioned.

Its honestly time to put up or shut up.

Name 360 games that look better than all of those I just mentioned. I know for a fact you can't but its going to be fun watching you trying to rationalize your points with titles.

Just for the record, if the ps3 relied soley on the video card, its games would look as terrible as 360 games. Luckily it doesn't and the broadband proc does some of the heavy lifting for graphics calculations. So if you can't factor that in with your ignorant comments, then thats exactly all it is. I know this generation of gaming is clearly your first. Because all you have to use as examples of graphical superiority, is MULTIPLATFORM titles. Which NEVER, EVER optimize\utilize 100% of either console. Its made to run on both as close to equally as it possibly can. It always goes in favor of whichever the dev team is comfortable with. Mirrors edge will look better on the PS3, as well as Burnout did. Or it will have a negligible difference like COD4 and GTA4. Its sad when you don't even have any exclusive games that are optimized for the 360, that can come close to Metal Gear or even Uncharted. All you have to prove that the 360 is superior, is Anti Aliasing or texture filtering. Thats not exactly phenomenal.

I can throw many many insults at GTA4 on either format but the graphics are not one of them. If GTA5 came out with the exact same graphics as 4 but had some new gameplay ideas it would be a 100x better of a game IMHO.

But let me just tell you something 360 exclusive games not only look great but play great as well, when 360 dev makes a game they arent focused on making a tech demo of the console they just want to make a great game. Thats why there is only 1 AAA exclusive on the PS3 and 6 AAA exclusives on the 360 (and MS has less internal studios as well). And when i say AAA in mean they scored an average of over 90 on metacritc.

Omega, if you need to list metacritic scores to justify which titles you think are worthy of being called a great game you seriously need to reconsider how you judge a game. Why can't you just make up you're own opinion instead of depending on ONE site.

What metacritic says is not the law. OK fair enough, they are going to recognize a good title, and even a great title. But that doesn't mean that they are the decisive factor between which games are great and which are good. In fact, a lot of the scores on that site are higher/lower than they should be. But you know why that's OK? Because it's an opinion.

Then you come along, listing these scores like they are factual statistics. Its ridiculous, state facts, not what you believe to be the truth, and then claim them to be Gods words.You're full of it, and you know it. I know you're not the only one that does it, so I'm sorry I had to make an example out of you. I just really wish people would stop listing scores off sites (particularly Metacritic) and claiming from them how superior their console of choice's line up of games are. Gamers should be able to realize the difference between a AAA title and an OK title not rely on some site to decide for them. Well done to Take2 for fighting off the biggest beast in the jungle; I was never sure if it would have been good or bad if the takeover had happened but it is impressive none the less.

However, I would not be surprised if someone else came in for Take2 now the way is clear. Activision is possible but I reckon there is a bigger chance of one of the big media companies coming in for it because they are all developing big game divisions and Take2 could be the jewel in the crown for someone like Time Warner or Disney corp because buying is easier than building from scratch(and Take2 is cheaper and more successful than others in the price range like Eidos/SCI, Atari and Midway).

I can't see any of the console makers doing it; Microsoft is selling or closing studios and buying Rare didn't work out as well as expected so they will not, Sony has enough problems to sort out without bringing in Take2 and it aint Nintendo's style to buy up big publishers.
