Woman dies while trying to win Wii for Kids.

A woman who competed in a radio station's contest to see how much water she could drink without going to the bathroom died of water intoxication, the coroner's office said Saturday.

Jennifer Strange, 28, was found dead Friday in her suburban Rancho Cordova home hours after taking part in the "Hold Your Wee for a Wii" contest in which KDND 107.9 promised a Nintendo Wii video game system for the winner

This is something Jack Tompson should be involved in.

I guess now, no one will be listening to that radio station anymore. I agree, they should be put in jail or something, or at least, the least minimum they could do with their dumb-minded acts is give the kids each a Wii. and then the dad can sue them and get more money out of it. But thats just me talking, that radio station is prolly self-centered anyways, and they dont give a sh!t, and theyl prolly just talk about it then wing it and get over it fast.

And very, very sad. It seems like things are really getting out of hand in the world of gaming. It's no game anymore.

It's sounds like something that can cause health problems. One would think that they would ask a doctor if something like this would be letal.

FirstknighT6310d ago

I hate stories like these. But I dont think the radio should be sued. People should know the consequences! I guess she didn't know that to much water can kill you. Did you know if you drink a whole 2 gallon of milk that it would kill you in seconds?

Dick Jones6310d ago

I understand the concept of bullets, sharp objects, and sudden stops; but I wouldn't figure drinking lots of water or milk would kill you. I would have just figured it would be a stupid thing to do and I'd probally get sick or not feel so good.

I don't really believe in lawsuits myself; but I do believe that if this happened to the mother of my children or anyone I loved, everyone is that radio station which took part would wish for a quick death before everything was said and done.

FirstknighT6310d ago

Your right Jones. Now that I think about it. The radio station should of done its homework!!! The mother probably thought it was safe. Sad story indeed!

6 Fun Games Where You Actually Play As The Bad Guy

While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.

Profchaos8h ago

Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.

It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny

Armored Core VI?

Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.

Is something big coming soon to branch the story?

No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).

EKWB reportedly plagued with financial disarray many gaming pc's left without parts

EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.

EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.

Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.

This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.

SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space

Jayz2cents a supporter of there products also has issues

As someone that has built a watercooling rig. EK is big, but there's so many numerous watercooling part companies out there. EK's stuff isn't exactly amazing quality for the price compared to others either, it's just ok. Much like Corsair. The impact would be negligible long term. For perspective the majority of my parts are XSPC, at most I use EK for my gpu waterblocks and fittings. Both easily replaceable.
