Marvel vs Capcom 4?

Why not Marvel vs. DC already?

Majin-vegeta2701d ago

Do you really wanna hear all that damn bickering online of who's better??😑

Well Marvel did say they would like to bring more quality games to consoles.

I couldn't get into MvsC3 like I did with the older titles, I didn't even give UMvsC3 a shot since the game's mechanics just didn't feel rewarding. I hope it is really happening still, but it is hard to see it happening with the current state of Capcom

xDealtwithIt2701d ago

Doubt marvel or dc would want to see huge imbalances in thier characters when fighting each other.

stokedAF2701d ago

The problem with Marvel vs DC is all business related with direct competitors. Collaboration in the video game space would be great but it's not necessary to be successful yet. They both have their healthy titles like Injustice, Arkham, MvC and Spider-Man.

Marvel vs DC will happen when the comic industry as a whole is dying in the video game space. It's possible but also probably a legal nightmare and not worth the time or effort (SF vs Tekken) unless it's some form of last resort push to generate interest.

Marvel vs capcom is unique in its crossover quality in my opinion and I hope that the rumor is true even though it's probably not.

After MvC3 being an infinite combo fest and completely imbalanced mess I would have to wait and see how MvC4 is.

Who in their right mind makes a fighting game where all you have to do is land one light normal attack to start an infinite combo that the opponent can't get out of until their character dies? Garbage.

And then characters like Phoenix who can spam a tracking projectile and do nonstop chip damage against 90% of the roster that can't do anything about it.

MvC2 is still one of my favorite games of all time. I was hugely disappointed with MvC3. I understand MvC2 had some balance issues too, but no where near this extent.

stokedAF2700d ago (Edited 2700d ago )

I feel that mvc2 is the better game mechanically as well but that's marvels go to fighting franchise and it works in my opinion. Another MvC without the trademark development problems would be fantastic. Both studios being moderated by Sony publishing might be a good way get the legals under control so it's not a roller coaster.

The cruddy balance is to be expected with such a wide range of characters and no real game patch support. That cheese has always been half of the fun and it's still entertaining. Even the high level stuff is still interesting to watch. Especially when it's not the same tried and true doom combo over and over like you were saying.

How long until they get sued and it gets taken down? I say a month or 2

PRIMORDUS1d 4h ago

Sued for what? It's just an emulator no ROMs are with it. ROMs are easy to get anyway, but with iPhone you can't just copy and paste like Android unless it's jail broken I think. Anyway Nintendo should be more concerned with their ROMs up to torrent for years for all of their concoles, but then again they can't do nothing about it, they never will and I love it. 🤣

NotoriousWhiz1d 1h ago

As long as it isn't emulating the Switch, it'll be fine.

RonnySins1d 2h ago

Naaah! Don't want to waste time emulating on iPhone.

Knightofelemia1d ago

Won't belong before Nintendo bangs on Apple's door to have the emu removed. Like I say you take down one six more take it's place. Problem is people are putting emu's on such stupid platforms. The good emus are the ones not on stupid platforms like a red target. The good emu's are word of mouth and keep a low profile.

Cord Smith on the dreamy world of indie game Always In Mind

Cord Smith, the former director of marketing for Compulsion Games' well-known title We Happy Few, has gone through quite a change since leaving the studio. This is represented by his new indie platformer Always In Mind, which takes players into a bizarre dream world full of fantasies inside the head of a little boy named Teddy. Sector got the chance to ask the industry veteran a few questions about his inspirations for the game.
