It has been a few weeks since my last Beeps and Beers post - largely because we have been in 'busy season'. So many games come out in the fall and it can be tough to keep our heads above water as we try to follow all of the news and review as many games in a timely fashion as possible. One of those titles that slipped by us without a review was Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, but I have spent a good deal of time playing it on nights where I decided sleep was optional. Fall has arrived in force here in Michigan and as the weather has cooled my choice of beers has moved on from the early fall pumpkin, amber and Oktoberfest styles to the darker, richer stouts and porters, including Wake Up Dead Nitro, a Russian imperial stout by Left Hand Brewing.

Hot damn those are some high quality games right there. I've been meaning to give 13 Sentinels a go, just haven't had the time to get around to it.
I had it on my wishlist waiting for a Discount, when I knew I would be close to playing it, so much in my backlog already, might as well try it now.
Also looks at ALL those Star Ocean titles!!!
The story is so great especially if you don't know what's going on, When i played it I kept thinking I bet this is "it" no I bet that's "it" no it's got to be this, but "it" wasn't those things in the end.
It's Japanese story telling style at it's finest, lead you along and let you wonder what is actually going on really keeping you engaged to figure out the mystery.
The RTS gameplay I really enjoyed too, my only regret was that there wasn't even more of it!
Probably why they hiked the price, so there could be better quality games and less shovelware.
It's one of the best story ever made in recent years, there's a reason it was nominated the best narrative in 2020's TGA.
I heard 13 Sentinels has a superb story, gotto try it at one point.
I can vouch for Nier Replicant, it has one of the coolest endings I have experience in a game. Took me a while to complete the game fully, but man, it was more than worth it in the end.
13 Sentinels is a must play if you haven't. Like, I can't praise enough what an awesome story and set of characters that game has.
Civilization VI’s Leader Pass has arrived on console platforms. Whilst this was never intended to make a release to console, the feedback from the community made developers Firaxis Games and 2K sanction the move.
This is a nice surprise. I got bored with 3D games and started playing Civ 6 on my PS5 again. Then last night I noticed a certain Caesar in my leader list. Lincoln’s leader ability is a fun commentary on pre-civil war america: more loyalty for industrial zones and less loyalty for plantations.
Julius Ceaser is free. The other leaders are only “free” if you bought the Anthology edition.
Thats a good note but i would venture to say most civ players who would be interested in this would already have the anthology edition. Otherwise it frequently goes on sale. Currently its on sale on the psn for $25.
