IGN: Fond Memories: The Secret of Monkey Island

If you played PC games in the late eighties and early nineties, you're undoubtedly familiar with the works of Lucasarts. This studio was responsible for some of greatest adventures games ever made, such as Full Throttle, Grim Fandango, and Maniac Mansion. Powered by the famous SCUMM engine, a point-and-click interface that made navigating through these colorful adventures so easy and intuitive, Lucasarts' games sold remarkably well to a loyal audience. One of the most beloved games of the SCUMM era was The Secret of Monkey Island, a pirate-themed adventure loaded with incredibly witty dialog, beautiful VGA graphics, and a fantastic soundtrack.
