there was a time when the Neo Geo was the most powerful console, same with the 3DO and eventually the PS2 and so on. Rather than speak in absolutes... it prob would be wiser to express how the PS4 Pro is the most powerful console today, or currently on the market. As "ever" implies there could be nothing better which we know is not the case. There will be a PS5 and possibly a PS6.

unless PSLS knows something the rest of us don't........?

It's the most powerful console in the time that is still viable in this generation. When Scorpio comes there's only about 20% left of the generation before PC devs start to widen the specs gap between consoles and PC.

sony has a hit on their hands because they know console gamers enjoy having more power, which is why so many are going to be trading in their regular ps4 systems. console gamers are willing to pay extra, the more expensive $600 ps3 outsold the cheaper $500 ps3, the $400 xbox 360 also ouutsold the cheaper $300 xbox 360.

sure power doesn't mean everything but it does have an impact in sales.
