The Globe & Mail reports that, according to NPD, the majority of top selling games In Canada last month were made for Nintendo platforms. From the story:
"NPD Research recently released August's video game software sales numbers for Canada, and the monthly chart paints a pretty picture for Nintendo: Three of the top five and 13 of the top 20 selling games last month were made for the Japanese company's platforms.
Wii Fit and Mario Kart Wii placed first and second, respectively, while Wii Play came in fourth. The top title for the Nintendo DS was Activision's Guitar Hero: World Tour, which charted at eighth. It's worth noting that all of these games ship with peripherals, suggesting that consumers perceive hardware to be a significant value enhancer when making software purchases..."
