Lizard Lounge writes, "It’s all about immersion. I’ve never felt the need to walk out of a scary film. But that’s a medium that allows for a little disconnect...in video games there is a whole different level of immersion. The character may not have your name, or your face, but once the game begins it is most definitely you."
"Similar to what has been done by Joaquim and by Gil, with this third iteration of Series That Will They scored decided to go a little further and address not just a number, but a whole genre. Anyone who knows me knows that is one of my favorite genres, one that can be extremely comprehensive and versatile and perfectly adapts to the reality of video games - putting us not only in the role of mere spectators. The horror in video games is a completely different experience, putting players in the role of volunteers participating in different types of horror that may face."
The Here Is The City Authors pick their favorite horror games for Halloween.
OXM - Torch gripped tightly in hand, I ascend the mouldering stairs of the mansion and slide the tearing paper partition to. A room, deathly quiet and lit by a single, stuttering candle greets me. Great article, I love the Project Zero franchise and have been lucky enough to have played all of them to completion so far.
I really hope the franchise makes a comeback this coming gen, it's the best survival horror out there right now IMO so I would hate to see it fall by the way side due to so called AAA games blocking it.
Gonna have to go back and play them again sometime I think.
Play The Kitchen demo in VR. I hear the Paranormal Activity VR is also on a whole other level of horror. One day someone is definately going to have a heart attack.
