They got way too much flack in the past. I loved both Battlefront and Battlefield 1, didn't play the new Mirror's Edge though.

Every DICE game is gorgeous. This also has meat, which makes it great overall.

KaiPow2735d ago

I'll have to try it out and see for myself!

_-EDMIX-_2735d ago

It's surprisingly really fun

_-EDMIX-_2735d ago

The single-player is indeed pretty short I probably put maybe 8 hours into it , but it's still pretty good.

Majin-vegeta2735d ago

A lot of people are hoping for more war stories with premium.

_-EDMIX-_2735d ago

That would be pretty cool but I'm not really holding my breath I definitely like what they did with the smaller stories because I was more interested and what they did then if they just focused on one character for the entire game.

I think this format lets them experiment with interesting narratives because I just don't believe they would have done an entire game with one of those narratives so it's a little more interesting to see them experiment with different ideas and characters.

I like that you've got to have some interesting characters and felt that you just would not have gotten that with an entire game just one.

I feel having a game with one character just limits what you could do and I like the small stories that were told as they gave the developers a little more freedom to experiment.

Let's be honest we were not going to get a Battlefield game where the entire single player was about a pilot flying a plane, so we would have never got to really hear such a story if it wasn't for these small individual series of missions..

If we got an entire game that was about that specific character and flying the plane would have only been a small part of his life it would not have been something that accompanied his entire life so I like what they did because they didn't have to stretch out or exaggerate anyone's character you've got to just see the entirety of what these people did in World War 1.

I actually hope they do this with every Battlefield game because I really really really enjoyed what they did

Not all games need to be about a single character from beginning to end. I'm seriously surprised on just how good the single-player is it's nothing groundbreaking in regards to Bioshock or anything like that but it's definitely enjoyable, some of the stories get pretty emotional as well.

Microsoft should have left them stay 3rd party

GamerRN4h ago

If they are let go, they can be whatever they want. They ARE 3rd party now... 🤦

Barlos2h ago

Yeah, they're also jobless.

PassNextquestion6h ago(Edited 6h ago)

Bethesda France was made up of roughly 15 people... they couldn't of being doing much

Bethesda France mainly did publishing and marketing within the region

blacktiger4h ago

that's a shame for you to say that, i'm sure Elite loves hearing what you just said.

Profchaos6h ago(Edited 6h ago)

Bethesda France focused on publishing and marketing in the region. And 15 people lost their jobs as part of the closure.

I wonder if this is part of Microsoft's strategy to abandoned physical media or possibly gamepass advertising makes their roles redundant you don't need to market a game as hard when the majority of players get the game as part of a sub which already promoted upcoming games

Tacoboto6h ago

It's France too, there's a high likelihood only 1-2 people on the team even had an Xbox.

Profchaos6h ago

Possibly guven all the leaks we know the Xbox brand is really struggling in the region.

Yi-Long3h ago

Well, if your consoles and games are barely found in any stores any more, of course you're gonna struggle finding consumers ...

XiNatsuDragnel5h ago

Tbh Microsoft I think Bethesda being 3rd party same with Activision would probably more competitive than thus scenario imo

Profchaos3h ago(Edited 3h ago)

I think it would have been better for all parties really especially gamers

TheColbertinator4h ago

The recently purchased Activision French offices might take over all the licensing and marketing for Microsoft in France from now on.

I’m Glad Atlus & SE Changed Dates To Avoid Competing With Shadow Of The Erdtree

Saad from eXputer: "I'm glad I don't have to choose between Square Enix, Atlus, and FromSoftware due to bad release windows and Shadow of the Erdtree."

H91d ago

More intelligent than guerilla games

raWfodog7h ago(Edited 7h ago)

Atlus is releasing their game one week before Erdtree, SE is releasing theirs one week after.

HZD released four days before Zelda, HFW released one week before Elden Ring.

It seems to me like they are still releasing their games too close to Erdtree.

Sony Could Increase Your Game's Difficulty If It Sees You Complain About It

Sony has recently published a new patent that wants to dynamically handle the games' difficulty and gameplay based on the player's emotions.

jznrpg8h ago

This is something I might use. Sometimes I play some good games but they don’t have difficulty option and are a little too easy.

Profchaos7h ago

Souls games will be like that players struggling make it harder

PassNextquestion6h ago(Edited 6h ago)

I think if used correctly it could work well

jambola2h ago

cool idea
cool idea for horror games especially
the way it's explained here sounds like it could never be forced hopefully, so that's ok with me
