At the end of August, Blizzard released World of Warcraft: Legion, and it seems that the fans were more than pleased with the launch of this expansion, who saw this as the end of a journey that lasted more than 10 years. However, for Tom Chilton, director of World of Warcraft, this is the beginning of a new adventure.
CGM Writes: While we were over at PAX East, we were able to sit down with Goichi Suda (Suda51) and talk about the upcoming remaster of Shadows of the Damned
"Treat your players as you would like to be treated, that's it," Vincke says when asked about how to maintain trust with a game's community.
BLG writes, "There are plenty of amazing horror games out there, but some of the very best ones that will leave you shaken to your core are indie horror games. If you’re looking to pick up new games for some scares, here are the best indie horror games you can play."
WoW has now lost two of it's most influential developers in the space of a month, it's a real shame. I'm sure Chilton's next project will be hype but I hope the quality in WoW doesn't take a nose dive because of these huge losses. While not perfect, Legion has been leaps and bounds better than WoD so far and I really hope this trend continues.
I've been having a great time with Legion since it launched and am wholeheartedly pleased with how this expansion has turned out. However, I've been off and on with WoW since just prior to Burning Crusade and I really do wish that Legion will be the last "expansion" of WoW as I severely want a full-fledged sequel to WoW. I understand the chances of that happening are slim to none considering the millions of people (including myself, my sub is up in the middle of Jan with no plans on re-subbing) who are currently subscribed, but nonetheless that is what I would like. In my perceived perfect Blizzard world, they would make Diablo 4 (all signs point that they are), Warcraft 4 (seemingly pipe-dream), and WoW2 (only if people stop playing current WoW).
