Consoleme.ca writes: Yesterday I was lucky enough to score an invitation to Electronic Arts' NHL 2009 launch event in Vancouver, Canada. For anyone that doesn't know, the latest installment in the successful NHL franchise from EA was released to the public on Tuesday and is already garnering rave reviews from the interwebs. Having had a chance to play it first hand and having lots of experience playing previous iterations of the game I can safely say that this is probably the best hockey game to ever be released. As an avid hockey fan it is impossible to understate how great the game looks, plays and feels. But you don't have to take my word for it, there were lots of real life hockey players in attendance who were blown away by how realistic the game is.
