Cinelinx - "We may have not played in a while, but if you enjoyed Destiny for what it was, it might be time to return."
Destiny 2 is coming this fall. Here's what Gazette gaming columnist Jake Magee wants to see from the highly anticipated sequel.
posted this in a similar article not too long ago:
-60FPS
-dedicated servers for PVP
-weapon balance, not selective metas
-lose current sandbox testers/team
-all legendaies/exotics made useful, but obviously will have their strengths/weakeness depending on PVE or PVP and at their specific ranges. I do not want weapons that are absolute trash no matter when you use them.
Has the addition of Rise of Iron made Destiny a better game, or has it made the sci-fi shooter from Bungie too casual?
To Josh Knowles of KnowTechie, Destiny had been a major disappointment. Rise of Iron changes that.
My biggest gripe is the number of steps per quest, just feels dragged out to make up for lack of content...
I had quit destiny since the first day or two of the April update and got back into the game about a week and a half ago trying to play catch-up. I really like how auto rifles and fusion rifles are usable now, especially in crucible. I almost forgot what life was like in Destiny where I just used a fusion rifle wherever I went, pvp or pve.
Rise of Iron is fun so far, I like how the strikes are challenging once again, just like initially in year one. One thing Bungie needs to do is offer an even more challenging strike playlist in time when we're all past the 350/360 light level. If we're going to reach 400 light after the hard raid then we need other content to keep up with that level since this is basically all we're getting until destiny 2.
I haven't touched crucible since this expansion, hoping the new maps are good.
