Psyonix License Unreal Engine 3

Psyonix Studios announced late last night that the company has entered into an agreement with Epic Games to license Unreal Engine 3 for its upcoming game, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, an arena-based online Auto-Sports game for PLAYSTATION Network.

im getting sick of this Unreal Engine, cant developers create their own engine or get a different engine?

It doesn't quite work like that... Engine take a huge amount of timke and resources to build and so most developers don't have the capacity to build something as powerful as Unreal 3. Plus it's a case of who's got the most promising business model, and while I'm not 100% sure, I'd say that Unreal 3 was reasonably priced when considering it's competition...
