The October 2008 issue of Gamepro magazine is out and is chock-filled with multiplayer reveals for Treyarch's new Call of Duty: World at War. What you may not know is that Gamepro "jumped the gun" on telling us all about multiplayer.
While it definitely seems "reminiscent" of CoD4, that's not a bad thing. I'll probably get this for the added co-op.
...this won't topple COD4 multi-player numbers for long if at all and it will be extremely short lived on PS3 with R2 and K2 coming out soon. I'm thinking K2 will pretty much destroy on-line play on PS3 for any multi-platform releases. If this game does not have a deep single player mode then I probably won't even rent it and the footage I have seen so far does not inspire I'm afraid.
as fan unfortunately i agree
Resistance 2 Community will be big, as well as the Socom and Warhawk faithful. Some may be content to just stick with Call of Duty 4 but it will get some sales. The 360 side may be a little more generous. Other than Gears 2, I don't think there is much else to look forward to as far as shooters go. What a twist that is.
what? no martyrdom??
this could truly be a good game, possibly on cod4's level. But i'm not fully sold i've already lockd down gow2 and now im not sure whether to FC2 or CoD5.
