Having a PC has literally nothing to do with being a part of the "PC Master Race", if you accept that PC gaming is objectively superior, then you 'qualify'. The term was coined to poke fun at PC elitism (by Ben Croshaw), instead of being insulted people ran with it. Over time it's morphed into a large legitimate community. The 'peasantry' term refers to people who think consoles are "objectively" better than PCs, people who insult normal console gamers are also seen as peasants. The subreddit is an exteremly helpful and welcoming place, personally I've never liked the term PCMR, but used in humor it can be funny.

1-neo and scorpio will be able to play high end experience

2-console exclusives (Sony and nintendo) the last of us or the legend of zelda alone destroy 98% of pc games

3-PC is full of poorly optimized trash like batman arkham knight Knigh, just cause 3, mortal kombat X, rise of the tomb raider just to name a few, consoles are much easier to optimize for, that's why uncharted 4 looks better/has more fidelity/detail than any PC game yet

5--the ability to buy physical copies, yep physical games are much cooler than digital only

1- More like a mid-range experience. PC will still offer the higher-quality experience. 4k/60fps at ultra settings is a possibility on PC. It won't be on Neo or Scorpio.

2- Simply not true. There are plenty of high rated exclusives on PC. Anybody that puts a ton of stock in metacritic averages, though, is being a bit silly, imo.

3. PC gamers generally have much higher standards. The fact they complain about a game doesn't mean it is worse than the console version. Most console games would be broken by PC standards. I haven't played Mortal Kombat X on PC, but I do own Batman Arkham Knight, Just Cause 3 and Rise of the Tomb Raider and they all run very well on my GTX 970. Batman AK originally had some issues, but they were ironed out and now I'd say it runs better than many other games with similar quality visuals. Plenty of games on consoles have issues too. There's a thread on neogaf right now, in fact, talking about how Just Cause 3 is broken on PS4 and nothing is being done about it. Uncharted 4 certainly is a looker, but I don't think it looks better than the best the PC offers.

4- I don't know what you are talking about here. I have no issues with hacks.

5- I don't miss physical copies. I like the convenience of digital and I am glad not to have hundreds of games taking up space in my house. I know that this is largely a matter of personal preference, but even consoles are moving inexorably toward a digital future.

6- Popularity doesn't define how good something is. Yes, consoles are somewhat more mainstream --you could think of them as the Justin Biebers of the gaming world-- but that doesn't make them better. I'd say the PC is still talked about quite a lot in any case (we're in a PC article after all).

Yeah, people who are expecting 4k/60fps for these up coming consoles are going to be verrrryyy disappointed. maybe on medium and more than likely it will be upscaled/or low framerate which 2k is better imo cause the difference is hard to tell and much easier on the GPU.

Many framerate issues on consoles like sub 20 fps on Dark souls 3 and sub 10 on Fallout 4 for the One is more than unacceptable for me.

You sound like a kid with your last argument "consoles are way cooler," now, allow me to counter your arguments.

1. Probably not as high as you think.

2. Opinion, although consoles have some great exclusives, PC exclusives are insane as well, but you probably never played or even heard of them.

3. Arkham Knight has been fixed and Tomb Raider is not a bad port, and consoles are not necessarily easier to optimize as much as the games are catered for them most of the time.

4. Most games have anti-hack tools built in and all the online games I play are fine and hacks are not as popular/common as you may think.

5. I bought the physical copies of Witcher 2 on PC and the Fallout Anthology as well.

6. Opinion, and millions care about PC.

Lol would have told him to get Asus rampage V Republican of gamers edition motherboard kinda seems weird he went with a sabertooth when the rampage is clearly the way to go for the 6800k, also would have recommended an Asus 1080 strix buying a reference 1080 is idiotic if you have the extra money. I'd prob pick the 1080 classybut don't think it has a release date yet or clock speeds. That monitor and ssd is spot on tho. I've never liked sabertooth motherboards formula or rampage is better if you can afford it. Also prob would have mentioned a corsair 750d or 900d case for custom watercooling.

Interesting no mechanical hard drive....I guess the 2tb ssd is thought to be enough? The build I'm planning for 2017 is pretty similar to what I'm seeing here, except no monitor as I plan on using a 4k oled I already have, and no headset or blu ray reader either. I plan on using a Neo as my 4k blu ray player, and a 1080 ti single card setup, with different parts for cpu, case, motherboard, etc. than Mr. Crews is using, but it will be a beast. I can't wait. I'm pretty excited to see what the 1080 ti will be capable of, and also AMD's Vega 11.
