Pete Hines, product manager for Fallout 3 has said developing a game to suit the varying censorship needs of different countries is "frustrating".

Hines refused to talk specifically about the issues Fallout 3 faced with Australian censorship last month. But, on the topic of censorship in general, he told CVG: "The frustrating thing for us is that the standards and rules can be so varied across territories, that we work with five or six ratings agencies and each one has different 'hot buttons'."

Wow makes you wonder which country to import from, I live in Australia and our censorship laws would have to be up there in the worse around.

Aussie's are the only ones with an "edited" version of the game. As for the rest of us, we'll have the same generic international version that is pleasing to all censorship bureaus.

It's a game where your go around grabbing people by the hand and taking a nice, peaceful walk.

(By the way, if Denis Dyack had his way, the government would be the sole source of funding for development, and this is the type of game we would get.)

First they stopped making the games that made them famous. Now they are crying about not being able to cuss in any of their games? They never had a problem with that before. WTF? Since when has a Bestheda game been known to have lots of vulgar language,, true gamers dont care.
