"Some would have us believe that impenetrable katakana is comparable to a stifling blanket that limits our understanding of plot under the excuse of illiteracy. I don't speak Japanese, but I can still understand storytelling at even its most complex moments. Ryeza and Anita may never utter a meaningful word in my direction, but I can see their plight through their actions and emotions, and that's worth more to me than any melodramatic line could ever provide. You don't have to be an expert to be observant, and you certainly don't have to be bilingual to be intelligent. You don't always need to know the reason to understand the action."
