GameZone: Alien Crush Returns Preview

The original Alien Crush was a great pinball game for the TurboGrafx16 that earned a cult following, even more so since it was released on Nintendo's Virtual Console. Now, the title is looking to get a full-on upgrade with Alien Crush Returns for WiiWare. Alien Crush Returns can best be described as Pinball with an H.R. Giger aesthetic. There are some weird alien creatures that you'll have to contend with on top of the regular pinball mechanics. Some new touches to the original formula are present in Alien Crush Returns, including some new tables and boss battles.

Controlwise, the game feels quite natural. You'll use the joystick on the nunchuck as the plunger, and then you'll use the triggers on the Wii-mote and nunchuck as the left and right flippers. You can select whichever way is comfortable, as the game offers support to lefties.
