COG writes - There's good games, great games and ok games... but then there's the worst video games ever forced on the human race. These are those games.
Jeez. What a cringe worthy list...
Went on the first page, meh. Then saw the 'click continue for more' clickbait attempt of 5 pages of this and closed the page.
Yea I hate when they do that.
Bubsy 3D is the only game on this list that I've played. It deserves a place on this list, which is a shame, because the original game on the Sega Megadrive was a lot of fun!
I haven't played that E.T game but i have seen videos of people playing it and it really is bad.
It is such a cliche to list ET as worst game ever at this point. I can easily find 10 games on that same console that are much worse, including #2 on this list.
Dude, I had E.T. There was no plot and you really didn't even know what you were supposed to be doing.
Yeah I still don't know what the flower did.
If follows the plot of the movie. You get the three pieces and build the telephone, once you have them you can "phone home" which gives you a certain amount of time to get to the landing pad in the forest. If you do it (without the FBI guy and scientist noticing), the ship lands and takes you home. It's not easy, but it is playable and winnable. Flower = extra life
gonna throw in my honorable mention "Dragon Blade: Wrath of Fire" oh my deer god this shit game. You are Generic Male in Generictown. Here is your generic childhood love. DOS graphics fire has burnt down generic land! Fite more DOS FIRE! FITE the blurry graphics that threaten to burn your eyes out! REALISE you have to swing wii remotes to attack! UNINSTALL!
E.T. FTW!, well more like FTL, For The Lose! I guess
I hate it when when ppl put games that didn't met expectations on the worst list. Dule nukem may be bad but's a lot more playable comparing to Daikatana. The same with ET. the game was actually ahead of his time. The problem is with no instruction, and no real relation to E.T. the game sold like total crap. What's the problem with Pacman? sure it's far from the arcade port but it was playable (donkey kong was not much better on atari). Here's some big turd to avoid at all cost. - Hotel Mario (CDi) - Cosmic Race (Psx) - PLumber don't wear ties (3D0) - Dragon's lair nes - Dark Castle (nes-Genesis)
2600 Pacman is awful. It took everything we loved about the arcade and changed it for no reason. It lost all the charm of the game. Rumor was it was just a prototype that the suits decided to ship "as is". 2600 Ms. Pacman showed the system could do a much better Pacman. 2600 Donkey Kong wasn't great, but at least it resembled the game it was supposed to be. ET wasn't that bad of a game, but it sold like crap because many people had already lost interest in the system after the Pacman debacle. The Arcade Pacman started the early 80s videogame craze, and the home version essentially ended it. Sure Atari expected to sale many millions more of ET than they did, and they logically should have had those sales. Problem was many people had already lost interest in videogames and weren't buying them that Christmas
Honorable mention goes to Fighter Within. You can say that it pretty much put an end to any future Kinect only games. Your character will make movements even if you're standing completely still. Currently holding steady at an amazing 23 Meta score.
Vampire Rain, the worse demo I ever played, the single player is a joke and the multiplayer is even worst.
