Dont care about any of these games

but maybe a little of bd+

It was only fun if you downloaded the hard mode, and/or got to disc 3. But honestly, Blue Dragon was to me the best JRPG on 360 to date. Eternal Sonata had worthless gameplay, even worse characters than blue dragon and no exploration. Lost Odyssey had annoying random battles and felt slightly unfinished, and the other games so far aren't even worth mentioning. So lets see, Blue Dragon = Half baked Dragon Quest, Eternal Sonata = Half baked Tales, and Lost Odyssey = Unfinished/rushed Shadow Hearts.

Lost Odyssey was great I don't see your argument.

Glad to see BD+ getting a decent score :)

"...and felt slightly unfinished..."

Don't make claims if you're not going to point out examples to prove them.

Some of the reasons I like Lost Odyssey more than Blue Dragon:
-More mature storyline
-Less whiny, obnoxious voices
-Your characters, rather than "summons" fight. Seriously, how lame is it that the characters simply sit there and let shadows do all the work? (If this changes between the second hour of gameplay and the final one, I apologize)
-Amnesic hero isn't QUITE as stereotypical as "boy gets outcast/leaves from home due to: something he did / the town was destroyed / he wants to fix a problem"

As far as being an outcast and getting sent away, I havent seen too much of that in RPG's and I've been playing them for almost 25 or so years. I have seen things close to that many times but cant quite recall seeing that exact story play out as often as you claim. The Amnesia bit is pretty old though.

At the time when MS got Mistwalker... they didn't know if they would have access to Square enix games.

So they made Blue Dragon as a Dragonquest type of game and Lost odyssey as a Final Fantasy type of game.

Some people don't like to admit it but the two were great games. However they didn't push the genre too much, which is why alot of gamers felt that it didn't offer anything new.

Then next entries of these games should be alot better and offer more for the hardcore rpg players and still be easy to grasp for the new to rpg players like myself!
